Arval moved to the Red Oak area in 1986 where he began his career in the concrete busi- ness driving for Tufco. As the company was sold, he continued to work for the new owners and became a dispatcher for over 20 years ending his career for Ar- gos Concrete in 2015. He was a member of the Italy Church of Christ and a Charter member of the Italy Lions Club where he served as President and most recently Secretary. He loved God, family, BBQ and people. He believed that without God and Family a person has nothing and that laughter was the best medicine and that’s why he enjoyed making people laugh. He is survived by his wife of 13 ½ years Flossie Gowin of Italy; daughter, Kaitlin Gowin of Ama- rillo, TX; sons, Jonathon Roldan and wife Teresa, Kevin Roldan of Italy and Ivan Roldan and wife Emily of Waxahachie TX; sister, Sandra Walker and husband Joe of Waxahachie; grandsons, Riley, Easton, Landon, Zaidon Roldan and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. ElWanda was born April 5, 1938 in Wellington, Texas to James Thomas Edwards and Carrie Bell Turner Edwards. She was the youngest of eleven chil- dren. She married John J. (Son- ny) Taylor on June 23, 1956 in Clovis, New Mexico. ElWanda lived her entire life in Shamrock, Texas before moving to Yukon where she was a wife and home- maker. She and John had two daughters, Donnese Taylor and Tanya Lynn Taylor Hobbs. She had three grandsons, whom she loved heart and soul; Christopher Paul Hobbs, Johnathon Michael Hobbs and Jeremy Daniel Hobbs. She was blessed with two great grandsons; Evan Michael Hoff- man and Easton Ryan Hobbs. ElWanda loved to dance. Whether it be western swing or square dancing, her heart was in the music. She never met a stranger and loved to visit with every¬one. ElWanda was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Shamrock, Texas. She was preceded in death by her mother and father; James T. Shamrock, TX. in 1960 and went to be with the Lord Friday, April 14, 2017 at his home.
