Big Thank You to New World Milford

Last Wednesday we were excited when Shivani Shah, Compliance Manager from New World Milford, arrived with another big bag of Little Garden seed pods and an amazing Leafcutter Bee Hive that New World have kindly donated to our school. Leafcutter Bees are fantastic pollinators and very rarely sting – perfect for the school environment and in particular to help pollinate the many beautiful gardens we now have around our school. Our caretaker Mr. Luke Phelan is currently working closely with our Garden-To-Table facilitator Mrs. Pauline Hall to find a suitable spot for the hive to be situated. From there it’ll be all up to the 75 bee cocoons to hopefully hatch and do their thing! We would like to express a massive thanks to Sarah Aston (Owner Operator at New World Milford) and Shivani, for their generosity in donating the seeds and hive, providing us with a fabulous learning experience and valuable addition to our Garden to Table project!
