Learning Objectives The student will be able to remember the order of the story.

The student will be able to work together to solve word

problems.

The student will be able to rewrite the story using numbers

and measurements.

The student will be able to evaluate their work and the work

of others.

Learning Activity The class will be broken up into groups.

Each group will work together to solve a simple word problem

based on the story.

Each group will then rewrite a section of the story adding in

numbers and measurements for the material used and the

house built.

Each group will create a simple word problem using their

section of the story.

Each group will present their work to the class.

Assessment As a class, the students will place each group’s work in the

proper order to recreate the entire story.

Each group will work the created word problems of the other

groups.
