INTRODUCTION OF WORKSHOP:- In Faculty of Engineering Technology & Research, three days hands-on workshop on ““AApppplliiccaattiioonnss ooff AArrdduuiinnoo”” was organized by Electrical Engineering department during 6th to 8th August, 2016 at seminar hall. In this work shop, covered contain was introduction to Matlab, basics simulations in Matlab, introduction of advance controller, basics of arduino, interfacing of Matlab with controller, basic programming language of controller, basic applications of controller with hands on practice like interfacing of S/W & LED, serial monitor Interfacing, LCD interfacing, stepper motor interfacing, servo motor interfacing than application of controller in power electronics with hands on & hardware like Half H- Bridge, Full H-Bridge, AC voltage Controller, Cycloconverter and also covered the advance interfacing of various Sensors (With Hands on) like temperature, humidity, infrared, ultrasonic for different application in field. In this workshop, 80 students were participated from final year and Pri-final year of our collage. Electrical department faculties were also participated in this workshop.

INAUGURATION OF THE WORKSHOP:-

Mr. Kiran Bhatt (Office Supritendent, SVPES), Prof. C. D. Desai (Vice Principal & H.O.D., Electrical Engg.,FETR) , Prof Sohail Shaikh (Asst. Prof., EED, SCET) and Prof. M. H. Kansara(Asst. Prof.,EED, FETR) has inaugurated the event by lighting up the lamp. The inauguration of the workshop was carried out by Saraswati Vandana and lighting of Lamp.

As per the tradition of the institute, Invited Experts and Guests were welcomed by the organising committee members.

DAY 01 SESSION 01:-

First season was conducted by Prof. Suhel M. Shaikh on introduction of advance controller, basic of arduino, programming language of arduino and AC Voltage Controller.

DAY 01 SESSION 02:-

The second season was on introduction to Matlab conducted by Prof. C. P. Vaidya. He explained the uses Matlab Environment, the functions of Matlab Simulink Library, Simulation programming in Matlab and different solvers of Matlab Environment tool.

DAY 01 SESSION 03:-

Third session was conducted by Prof. Suhel Shaikh on the topic of “Theory and Implementation of AC voltage controller.”

DAY 01 SESSION 04:-

Fourth session of the day was conducted by Prof. M. H. Kansara and Prof. U. V. Vyas. They explained the working strategy of A.C. Voltage controller and hardware implementation of the same.

DAY 02 SESSION 01:- The second day was started with the session of Prof. P. R. Polawala. He explained the theoretical concepts of Cyclo Converter and Dual Converter. Later on Prof. M. K. Tamboli has given the information about H- Bridge Inverter topology.

DAY 02 SESSION 02:-

Second session of the day was conducted by Prof. P.R. Polawala, Prof. N. B. Kantharia and Prof. C. P. Vaidya on the topic of “Simulation of Cyclo Converter, Dual Converter and H- Bridge Inverter”.

DAY 02 SESSION 03:-

Third session of hardwre implementation of Cyclo converter and dual converter was delivered by Prof. M. H. Kansara, Prof. V. B. Patel and Prof. N. B. Kantharia.

DAY 02 SESSION 04:- Fourth session of second day was conducted by Prof. U. V. Vyas and Prof. T. M. Panchal on the topic of “Hardware implementation of H Bridge Inverter”

DAY 03 SESSION 01:-

Prof. Pritesh Saxena (Asst. Professor, EC, SCET) had delivered his esteemed speech on various sensors and transducers.

DAY 03 SESSION 02:-

Second session was conducted by Prof. R. H. Mistry and Prof. A. S. Shah on demonstration of Sensors and transducers.

DAY 03 SESSION 03- Third session of the third day was conducted by Prof. U. V. Vyas, Prof. V. B. Rathod and Prof. M. H. Kansara on the topic of “Bidirectional and Speed control of DC Motor, Stepper motor control and Servo Motor control Techniques”.

VALEDICTORY CEREMONY- Valedictory ceremony was organised at the last of the three day workshop in presence of Managing Trustee of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Education Society Shree Babubhai Patel and in charge Secretary Shree Mohanbhai Patel. Certificates were distributed to students at the end of ceremony.
