Who we are
Thomas Jefferson Art Studio provides a creative space in four disciplines. We offer classes, workshops and studio sessions in ceramics, black & white photography, jewelry and woodworking.
For those with prior experience, we have drop-in open studio hours for ceramics and black & white photography as
well as Independent Study sessions (pre-registration required) for jewelry and woodworking.
All skill levels welcome There are several ways for all skill levels to jump in and participate. Check out our current class offerings and to get

Pottery and Photography
Open Studio Drop–in Hours
Drop-in Open Studio sessions are for participants with
previous experience and are on a first-come first-serve
basis.
Mondays 9:30am-12:30pm
2:00pm-5:00pm
6:30pm-9:30pm
Wednesdays 6:30pm-9:30pm
Saturdays (October-May) 2:00pm-5:00pm
Please be advised that Thomas Jefferson Art Studios
are closed the month of August through Labor Day
Open Studio Fees and Passes
Residents $18 per time block
Non-County Residents $23 per time block
Resident Multi-Pass $100 (6) sessions
County Senior Residents (62+) $67 (6) sessions
Non-County Residents $126 (6) sessions
Clay must be purchased in the studio. No outside clay. 25 pound bag $15. Recycled clay (when available) 80¢ per pound
Independent Study - Jewelry and Woodshop
Our well equipped studios are a perfect resource
for those with previous Woodworking or Jewelry
experience. These sessions are not instructional,
but a studio tech is available to answer questions
and ensure safety. All with prior experience are
welcome to pre-register for these weekly sessions.
Minimum age 16.
Each three hour time
block is $20.

Programs
Paint-a-Plate – A fun drop in activity for all
ages. These make great personalized gifts.
Art Parties – Choose your own creative party
and our staff will guide you through a unique,
playful experience.
Girl Scout and Boy Scout Workshops
We can help your troop earn various art related
badges as well as arranging a workshop to
complete your troops’ pinewood derby car kits.

One-on-One
We offer Try-It Wheel Workshops and Jewelry
Intensives, both with individual instruction. Open to all
skill levels. These one-time sessions are a fun way to
learn a new craft or to get individual instruction to help
improve your existing skills.
Try-it Wheel - 2-hour session, $40. Minimum age 11.
Jewelry Instruction - 3-hour session $88.
Minimum age 16.
