Activities in the Garden

I am sure most families have had vegetation that suffered from our winter freezes. Dave the Plant Man taught our 7th Graders how to determine if the damaged plant is salvageable.

Many damaged plants will recover. Check for signs of life at the base of these plants. If you still see some green, cut the plants back to the living parts and don’t forget to mulch.

6th, 7th, & 8th Grade Ecology Elective

Genesis 3: 19-You will have to work hard and sweat to make the soil produce anything, un l you go back to the soil from which you were formed. You were made from soil, and you will become soil again."

Weekly Garden Activities

The students will continue the following tasks every week:

¨ Seeding Station

¨ Seedling Transfer

¨ Direct Sowing of Seeds

We are hoping to sell these beautiful seedlings to raise money for our gardens.

¨ Sedum ‘Angelina’

¨ Sedum ‘Copper Penny’

¨ Hibiscus
