Slide 4 M ISSION : H.O.U.S.E. create, encourage and celebrate culture of appreciation character development and accountability The purpose of the H.O.U.S.E. concept is to create, encourage and celebrate a whole school culture of appreciation, character development and accountability that develops responsible citizenship, improved attitudes and academic success throughout the school. Appropriate behaviors are awarded Leopard Spots. Slide 5 M ISSION, 2: color doing things right! doing the right things! Each HOUSE is designated by a color, (ATTITUDE), name and symbol. Each HOUSE has 2 Coordinators (HC). HOUSEs develop a unique culture and establish relationships. HOUSEs compete within and without by members attaining Leopard Spots (tickets) rewarded for doing things right! and doing the right things! Every staff member and student is randomly being attached to HOUSEs. Slide 6 HOUSEs create a positive school atmosphere Teachers, Staff, WatchDOGs, PTA may confer Leopard Spots to students who exemplarily exhibit the same! The HOUSEs create a positive school atmosphere of respect, community and teamwork through encouraged and rewarded good will, camaraderie, collaboration, competition and celebration. Earn Leopard Spots through positive actions. Teachers, Staff, WatchDOGs, PTA may confer Leopard Spots to students who exemplarily exhibit the same! Spots are signed and turned in to HOUSE Coordinators. Slide 7 HOUSEs foster belonging HOUSEs meet as large and small groups for activities. MLIS will celebrate and recognize the HOUSEs at times determined by the Principal. When a HOUSE is not in session it attempts to foster belonging, mentorship, encouragement, support and recognition as determined appropriate for each HOUSE. Slide 8 Leopard Spot (tickets): One ticket, one point. No taking them back. No transferring. Tickets are handed out by all staff as rewards for good deeds, good will, good works, extraordinary actions, etiquette, volunteering, exemplary manners, parent participation, extracurricular support attendance, behavior or additional suggestions? Each ticket scores member points and all members score HOUSE points. One ticket, one point. No taking them back. No transferring. Slide 9 Celebrations / Rewards/ Incentives: HOUSE member with most points is celebrated by the HOUSE and school. HOUSE with most points is celebrated by School. Celebrations / rewards / incentives include but not limited to: after school activities, pizza, bounce house, snow-comes, additional recess, recognition announcements, dress code day, bowling party, skating, banners, balloons, pencils / pens (house colors)/ three week drawing for Mr./ Ms. Leopard other suggestions?
