ORIGINS

Many hundreds years ago, the Celts believed that the souls of the dead visited Earth on the last day of October. They had a festival in honor of these souls of the dead, and they called it Samhain.

1st November was declared All Saints' Day. This day was called Allhallowmas. It was commonly called "All Hallows' Day.The night before became known as Allhallowe'en, which was short for "evening before All Hallows' Day." It was then shortened to what we now call it, Halloween.

TRADITIONS

TRICK OR TREAT: The people disguises and they goes home to home saying trick or treat for afford many sweets or money.

PUMKINS: The people make a face in empty pumpkins, for dessing the house, put a candle or keep the sweets.

The teenagers make parties for tell horror histories. Sometimes, the parents make a house of terror for his children.

SUPERSTITIONS

People think that the spirits of people who dead, go out for his tomb.

Some superstitios that give bad luck ,are:- The number 13. - The number 666. This is the demon number.- The black cats.- Break mirrors. - Get under the stairs.
