Hello Residents,
Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a great time at our annu-al Christmas Open House. We had a wonderful time filled with good food, fellowship, and entertainment.
I know the holidays can be a challenging time for many of us, so make the extra effort to reach out to your neighbors and say a kind or encouraging word.
We have a wonderful community of residents here at Regency. Along with all of our staff, I would like to wish you a joyous New Year.

We are never disappointed when UAB Theatre comes to Regency. This go-around, their program was “Girl Power.” They sang songs from the 50s, 60s and 70s from girl bands. The best part was when they called Coach up and sang to him. He was a real ham!

Wow! Have you ever seen such energy, excitement and movement in such a small space? The Wild Cloggers were amazing! When they were done, we all were exhausted just from watching them perform! Were you there? If you missed them, make sure you are present for their next visit to Regency.

We enjoyed the talent and enthusiasm from this choir made up of children from Peru, Liberia and India. Matsiko is a Ugandan word for “hope.” This word embodies both the children and the songs that they sang for us. They all shared what a great gift education is and how much they wanted it in their country. How-ever, education is very expensive and not many children get to participate. This choir travels the world and offers each child the education that is out of reach in their country.

What did you think about the Open House? It was a Country Christmas at Regency! Chef Austin and his team went above and beyond our taste buds! Sheila and Mike Dempsey shined in Somerset through their songs and music. The wagon ride was great for all who rode. And, what can be said about Santa and Mrs. Claus? Residents, thank you and your family for making it all a success! Let’s do it again next year!
