Thirty-First Sunday in Ordinary Time
November 3, 2019
Welcome Kristen Giblin Parish Secretary!
It is with great pleasure I introduce our new parish secretary, Kristen Giblin, to you. Kristen was born and raised in Narragansett, and is the youngest of 6 sib-lings. She was baptized, confirmed and married at St. Thomas More. Kristen has been married to her husband Steve for 13 years and they have two children, Mackenzie (10) and Carter (6). Kristen recently worked at Wakefield Elementary school as a clerk and prior to that for the Town of Narragansett. She enjoys the beach, baking and gardening but her greatest joy comes from spending time with her family. Please join me in providing a warm welcome to Kristen.
Welcome newly Baptized Evelyn and Daniel!
Last Saturday we welcomed Evelyn and Daniel, daughter and son of Josh and Mary McCaughey. Godparents were Christine Dunleavy and Daniel Moran. We wish all the McCaughey family blessings and congratulations!
All are welcome to attend the FEAST of ALL SOULS MASS OF REMEMBRANCE

Men’s Bible Study Our parish has a very active group of men, who for more than 16 years, have met each Saturday at 7:30AM in a "round table" format to discuss the Sunday scripture readings. It is very informal and attended by some scholarly and not-so-scholarly folks. It’s rewarding and even some fun. Bring your coffee and come on over to St. Veronica Chapel, Msgr. Halloran hall!*

ZACCHAEUS, COME DOWN QUICKLY Why do good things happen to bad people? Does this question strike you as odd? Aren ’t we usually struggling with the bad things that happen to good people? True enough, but when good things happen to others, especially those we consider undeserving, it can seem natural to grumble. How do some people always seem to get away with it, while we spend our lives trying to act as God would want? As a tax collector, Zacchaeus cheated and got rich off of his own people. Why does Jesus want to be so nice to him? It ’s just not fair!
