Join us in the Church for First Saturday Rosary Fatima Devotions,
November 4th at 9:00 a.m.. Pray the Saint Louis de Montfort Ro-
sary Meditations, the Fatima prayers, and keep Our Lady company
for a quarter hour in silent meditation on the mysteries of the Holy
Rosary. Let us pray together for World Peace, the Holy Souls in
Purgatory, and the Conversion of Sinners as our Lady requested in
Fatima:
July 1917 Mary - “When you pray the Rosary, say after each
mystery: O my Jesus! Forgive us, save us from the fires of hell.
Lead all souls to heaven, especially those who are most in need.”
August 1917 Mary - “Pray, pray very much, and make sacrifices
for sinners; for many souls go to hell, because there are none to sacrifice themselves
and pray for them.”

30th Sunday in Ordinary Time This Sunday we hear the equation that love of God equals
love of neighbor. Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI wrote this in his encyclical God is Love: “Anyone who needs me and whom I can help is my neighbor. The concept of ‘neighbor’ is now universalized, yet it remains concrete. Despite being extended to all mankind, it is not reduced to a generic, ab-stract and undemanding expression of love, but calls for my own practical commitment here and now … Love of God and love of neighbor have become one: in the least of the breth-ren we find Jesus himself, and in Jesus we find God.” (#15) Who is the neighbor we are called to love right now? How will we show concrete love for them?
30mo.

Volunteer of the Month –September
Congratulation to Johnny Schultz the volunteer of the month of September. His great attitude comes from the heart- a truly servant’s heart. He is a Lector, Eucharistic
Minister, and brings communion to the nursing homes and home-bound. He’s involved in a young adult program, ACTS retreats, music ministry and with youth education. He belongs to the Knights of Columbus who helps sponsor the summer youth soft-ball teams which he leads every year. He is most beloved as a long time Confirmation teacher. He prepares our children to be strengthened by the Spirit and to increase their faith. He is the best example of living a life in the spirit and being called to action. Congrats!
Felicidades!
Teen/Youth Conversation Starter:
Genuine communication and conversation with
teens can be a challenge. Above all, remember
that teens crave recognition of their young adult-
hood. Do not push too hard if you can avoid
it. Listen first, then share your own experience, point beyond your-
self to Jesus, and pray consistently. Let’s talk about our faith and
celebrate some of our heroes in the church. “Son/Daughter, did
you know when I was confirmed I chose Saint ______ as my con-
firmation saint because________.” “Which saints have you re-
searched or studied so far? Let me make some suggestions for us
to look up together.”
