Blogs are an essential tool in the marketing process. They allow people to see your

thoughts, ideas and views. This can be vital when it comes to your blog that you are doing

the right things to be efficient, professional and helpful to all of the people that are taking

the time to visit and interact on your blog. I have started you off with some of the basic

tasks you need to be completing DAILY to get the most out of your blog.

1. Reply to comments – It is polite to reply to people who have taken the time to read

and comment on your blog. You do not need to reply to all of them but try to

interact with at least two or three. It will stimulate conversation and make your

readers want to read, and comment, more in the future.

2. Comment on Blogs – It is good practice to visit other blogs as well as your own. Visit

the links or read the posts they leave. It is a good opportunity to repay their

comments on your site. It is a great way of leaving a link to your site too. Everyone is

a winner!!

3. Remind people of your posts – It is good practice to remind people of your recent

posts. You only need to do this, say, once a month. This has resulted in positive

results on comments in my blog and enquiries for business.

4. Promote other blogs – This is two things in one. Firstly, it is an easy post for you on

your site or blog. Secondly, it makes you look like an authority in your industry. You

are showing that you are aware of the competition and other topics being raised.

Introducing people to other blogs is appreciated by your readers too.

5. Look for new blogs – There are new blogs popping up every day. Look for at least

one new blog a day. When you are there, have a read and comment on it. This

allows you to spread the word of your brand and help a few new blogs out too.

6. Social Bookmarking – You can use sites like Stumbleupon or delicious to socially

bookmark other bloggers. This will boost their traffic and they may do the same for

you too!
