3owe#er, it is important to note that there is a distinction *etween psycholo+ical

.i#en all these, eaminin+ the rich history o) Philippine land re)orm allows )or a

A)ter the proclamation o) independence, the succeedin+ administrations tried, and yet

may ha#e caused these attempts to )ail is the stron+ in)luence o) the elites not only in

Theoretical Framework

'his paper will )ocus on how )armers and title holders construct the meanin+ o)

land ownership within the contet o) the Comprehensi#e A+rarian (e)orm Pro+ram

2CA(P4- 'his paper will also eamine how such meanin+s are rein)orced *y how they are

will also scrutinize how these constructed meanin+s, assumed positions, and discursi#e

 practices in)luence their *eha#iors-

For this paper, the researchers *elie#e that the *est way to dissect the

a)orementioned topic is to use discourse analysis, particularly Foucauldian Discourse

Analysis 2FDA4, as this paper0s chassis- Foucault 216$4 stated that to ;tac5le the

ideolo+ical )unction o) a science in order to re#eal and modi)y it,= one should ;/uestion it

concerned in eaminin+ how discourse produces su*ects and o*ects- 3ence,

Foucauldian Discourse Analysis will *e utilized )or this study as a means o) determinin+

how the title holders and )armers construct landownership, and position and percei#e
