Prohibition• A lot of his Political Cartoons poked fun at different

races (no race spared)• Didn't write his first children’s book until 1937• The Cat in the Hat is his most famous book and it

drastically increased the sales of all previous books• Cheated on his wife while she was dying• Came up with the Pseudonym Dr. Seuss after being

banned from writing at Dartmouth because of being caught with Alcohol during prohibition
