Game Rules: Pair up with another student. Decide who will use their page (this page: page 13) to cut out the word cards listed below. Place the cards face down in the area you are playing. Be sure to mix them up. Play the game of concentration. However there is a twist. In order to keep their pair, the student must use each homonym in a sentence correctly.
Ex. I will meet you after school on the playground. I will eat meat for dinner.
The student will keep their pair of homonyms after CORRECTLY sharing their sentences. If you can't successfully use the words in sentences, they must placed back down in the same spot on the desk. Any disagreements will be settled by Mr. O’Hara.
Play continues until each card is matched. The winner is the student with the most pairs. NOTE: There are two sets in which there are three homonyms. Completing a set with three matches will count as four cards!!!!!!
