Pre-Professional Intensive June 13 - July 27
THE FULL PROGRAM
For the serious student interested in pursuing a career in the arts.
This is a unique program that boasts a distinguished faculty that translates the demands of the professional world
into a one-of-a-kind experience. This fully immersive session will include admission to the New Works Festival,
providing access to the renowned Regional Theatres: Primary Stages (NY), South Coast Repertory (CA), and
Actors Theatre of Louisville (KY). Then begin two weeks of intense training, three weeks of a professional rehearsal
process culminating in a fully produced production, and a final week of workshops and specialized training.
The six-week program will give you the best exposure to our professional faculty, provide the most time
for one-on-one coaching, and immerse you in our beautiful campus.

TWO-WEEK SESSION
For the student interested in exploring new work, having access to professional artists and
organizations from around the country, and intense conservatory training.
This succinct experience will include admission to the New Works Festival, providing access to the renowned Regional Theatres:
Primary Stages (NY), South Coast Repertory (CA), and Actors Theatre of Lousiville (KY), followed by two weeks of
intense training in acting, ensemble theatre, solo performance, and more. The two-week program will enhance your
skill-set and better prepare you for further training, auditions, and college.
Performance IntensiveJune 28 - July 27
FOUR-WEEK SESSION
For the student interested in gaining performance experience through a professional rehearsal process
followed by a week long intensive of workshops and one-on-one coaching.
Students will experience what it is like to work on and develop a new play with a professional director at the helm.
This will involve character work, ensemble building, and collaboration. This program will culminate with specialized workshops
and training to enhance what students have experienced during the rehearsal process. The four-week program will expose
students to a professional process and prepare them to work on new plays and collaborate with an ensemble.

ENSEMBLE THEATRE - at the culmination of the the New Works Festival which students observe, they will experience crafting a new work themselves. They will work with a director who leads them through a collaborative ensemble theatre process and teaches them about practices and techniques used in current ensemble theatre companies. Guest Artist Faculty: Alex Correia
IMPROVISATION & SOLO PERFORMANCE - students will learn the basic approach to improvisation, both long and short form. They will also develop their own solo performance through writing, researching, and creating.Guest Artist Faculty: Sarah Kirwin & John Viscardi
ACTING/SPEECH & DIALECT - a traditional technique class working with both contemporary and classic text. In addition, students will be coached in proper annunciation, projection, and dialects.Guest Artist Faculty: Rich Liccardo
REHEARSALS/TECH/PERFORMANCE – students will spend 2/3 of their day rehearsing a fully immersive theatrical production. They will work with a director and be coached individually.Guest Artist Faculty: Will Rogers
BODY WARM-UP - students will start their day with a warm-up to prepare them for rehearsal. They will learn techniques that they can take with them and apply daily to strengthen their bodies.Guest Artist Faculty: Lucia Rich
WORKSHOPS – in our final week, students will explore new techniques through workshops and one-on-one training. Guest Artist Faculty: Amy Mihyang Ginther
ELECTIVES – students will have the option to further their studies and exploration in Vocal Performance, Songwriting, Dance, Visual Art, and EquestrianGuest Artist Faculty: Philip Hernández, Thomas Hodges, Kathy Hussey, Jennifer Golonka, John Hamblin, and Naomi Barker
