CONSUMER REFERENCE GROUP As has been mentioned in previous issues of The Windmill, the Board has set up a Sub-Committee, Consumer Reference Group consisting of Rembrandt Court Residents and or their Representative and Home Care Consumers or their Representative. The Committee met for its first meeting on Thursday 18 July chaired by Board Director, Marie Wood. Present at the meeting were :
Marie (Chair) Margje (Resident) Frank (Resident) Neda (Resident Rep) Nettie (HC)
Helma (Resident Rep) Caroline (Resident Rep) Tina (HC) Agnes (Minutes)
The Committee reviewed the Terms of Reference and made recommendation to Board for the Committee to meet bi-monthly rather than quarterly. After some discussion the following will be brought to the attention of the Board which relate to several of the new Standards:
• Standard 1 - Privacy of Individuals
• Standard 3 – Clinical Care – medication errors and awareness of rights of family members who also have a duty of care to report issues.
• Standard 7 – Human Resources – staffing levels.
