Word Hippo WordHippo is an online website and application providing a range of tools related to the use of words for creative and recreational purposes. WordHippo was first launched in 2008 to provide users with a simple website for looking up similar and opposite words. Since then, we have expanded our range of available tools to include: Antonyms, Rhyming words, Translations, Definitions and much more. Word Hippo is available online at http://www.wordhippo.com/, or download the app from iTunes or Google Play. UPDATE FROM MAINTENANCE Hs 1,2,5 Kitchen and Dining Room Renovations

We are pleased to advise that the kitchen renovation is very close to completion. The industrial dishwasher has been installed and is now operational – much to the delight of staff!

Next week the internal walls will be completed followed by windows and doors.

CONSUMER REFERENCE GROUP As has been mentioned in previous issues of The Windmill, the Board has set up a Sub-Committee, Consumer Reference Group consisting of Rembrandt Court Residents and or their Representative and Home Care Consumers or their Representative. The Committee met for its first meeting on Thursday 18 July chaired by Board Director, Marie Wood. Present at the meeting were :

Marie (Chair) Margje (Resident) Frank (Resident) Neda (Resident Rep) Nettie (HC)

Helma (Resident Rep) Caroline (Resident Rep) Tina (HC) Agnes (Minutes)

The Committee reviewed the Terms of Reference and made recommendation to Board for the Committee to meet bi-monthly rather than quarterly. Standard 1 of the New Standards was discussed in more detail as well as the new Charter of Aged Care Rights. After some discussion the following will be brought to the attention of the Board which relate to several of the new Standards:

• Standard 1 - Privacy of Individuals

• Standard 3 – Clinical Care – medication errors and awareness of rights of family members who also have a duty of care to report issues.

• Standard 7 – Human Resources – staffing levels.
