About the Club
Our club was formed in 2007 by Whippet enthusiasts in Queensland with the aim of raising awareness of this wonderful breed, and its ability to compete in a variety of dog sports, as well as a wonderful companion

We aim to provide our members with support and advice in all
aspects of the breed and promote ethical and responsible breeding
practices

INTERESTED IN BECOMING A MEMBER?Club MeetingsIf you would like to find out more about the Club or would like to get involved, please come along and join us at a club meeting, or contact one of our Committee Members who will be happy to help answer your questions.
Meetings are held on the third Wednesday night of every second month, commencing at 7.00pm. Meeting venues to be notified.but we try to alternate between a venue on the south side (generally Durack) and the the north side.
The meeting dates for 2019 are as follows:
Wednesday 21st August 2019
Wednesday 16th October 2019
Sunday 8th December 2019 (Following Xmas Fun day)
MembershipIf you are interested in joining the Whippet Club of Qld, please do not hesitate to contact us.To apply for membership please print out and complete our Membership Form and mail it along with appropriate payment to the club Secretary. New applications will be presented at the next club meeting, and you will need to be nominated by a current club member.
Print out a copy of the form on the next page or refer to our website, complete, and with your cheque or money order post to the club Secretary.
The club membership year runs from July to June.
REMINDER THAT ALL MEMBERSHIPS EXPIRED ON THE 30TH JUNE, PLEASE RENEW YOUR MEMEBERSHIPS IF YOU HAVENT DONE SO ALREADY.
WHIPPET RESCUE REPORT
After 17 long months our darling bonded pair Bizzy and Angie finallyfound their furever home with a lovely couple who have always hadrescue whippets.
The last of their 4 whippets passed away earlier this year and theywere ready for more whippet love. I am happy to report that both dogs have settled in very quickly andvery well and their new dad tells me it is like they have always livedin their home.

LURE COURSING!A huge thank you to everyone who made our Lure Coursing Trial a success in July. Here are some photos snapped on the day of our prizes and Whippets coursing at previous trials by Nic Mather and other exhibitors. Hope to see you all at our next trial on September 21st 2019.
