Prayer Pager Ministry
Our Prayer Pager Ministry is excited to share a new option that allows you to
send a prayer message (just like a text message) to our recipients with a cell
pager (see * recipients below). The site for this new service is
(www.prayerphone.net). You will have the option to type in your prayer
message or select a verse from the verses listed. You must use our 334 area
code for the message to be sent.
As the Spirit of God prompts you, first PRAY for these individuals, and then
CALL their prayer pager number (or go to www.prayerphone.net) and follow
the prompts. The prayer pager information can also be found on the AUMC
website at www.aumc.net.
To make a prayer chain request during the daytime, please call Michelle
Morrison at the church office at 334-826-8800 ext. 222. At night, please
call either Bo Cavin 334-821-7714 or Deborah McCord 334-703-3646.

Summer studies for Adults “Make a Difference” Following Your Passion and
Finding Your Place to Serve, by James Harnish
This 6 week DVD study will be offered at two
different times:
Sundays 5:00-6:30pm beginning July 8
Tuesdays 12:00-1:00pm beginning July 10
Led by a team of laity and AUMC staff
Connect Your Passion with the World’s Great Need. Every day we see
that things are not right in our world, and as followers of Jesus Christ,
we have an impulse to do something about it. We long to connect our
passions and gifts with the world's great needs, making a unique
contribution for the healing of the world. In Make a Difference, author
James A. Harnish helps you answer the questions "How can I
contribute to God's healing work in this world?"; and "How can I find
my place to serve and make a difference?" Drawing upon biblical
wisdom and real stories of real people who have found their place to
serve, he provides practical guidance to help every disciple make a
difference as a participant in God's transformation of the world.
