Year 3 & 4 at Rosemoor Gardens

The children (and staff) had an amazing time at this lovely

venue on Wednesday and brought home some fantastic

weaving and leaf prints.

They collected bugs in jars, completed a treasure trail and

even had a play on the fun outdoor equipment! Despite the

weather, they all had a brilliant time. Thank you to our

teachers for organising this amazing day out.

Nursery

It’s a jungle!

Things have been getting wild and wonderful in our Nursery this term with children working on

their topic which is “Once Upon A Time”. The children will be looking at all kinds of stories but

they particularly chose to look at animal themed books and have been enjoying their story time

with Mrs Smith (and her friend the crocodile!)

The children continue to use their cutting, sticking and creative skills and our older children will be

well prepared for school in September. We’re very proud of them all.

Nursery contract hours forms will be coming home next week which will be for hours required after

Easter. If you do need to change hours, please speak to Mrs Southcott in the office (she works from

9am-1pm) as we cannot guarantee the hours will be available now that the government has

brought in 30 hour funding and spaces are limited.

App of Concern

The Bigo website / app was originally brought to the attention of the police as

some pupils at a Plymouth secondary school were using it. Please be aware, this

app is prolific for grooming and for sexual preditors. Bigo is a live streaming app

where users can livestream themselves in real time to potentially the world. Any

user can watch you and view what you are saying or doing at that precise time.

Users can also communicate on the live chat in the live feed and call you live on

camera like facetiming but its not private as anyone can watch and say or show

you anything they want or private message you via your app inbox.

Please follow this link for a really helpful website: http://safebook.me.uk/

Attendance

Due to lots of seasonal bugs, our overall attendance has slipped slightly and

we will be monitoring this closely over the rest of the year. Please may we

remind you that good attendance goes hand in hand with good attainment.

Snow Weather Warning

You may be aware that a yellow weather warning is in place for Sunday and there is the chance of

snow. Please assume that we are OPEN on Monday, however a decision will be made by 8pm on

Sunday so please check our Facebook page and also our website for updates. Thank you.
