With a busy schedule and many projects under her helm, we were able to meet with the vibrant and vivacious Zandile

Makula, a young business woman and wife who also happens to be a partner and assistant producer and presenter of ‘Insight for Living’. In a short online interview she shares her passion and love for LoveWorldSAT.

You’re a partner and viewer of LoveWorldSAT; why is LoveWorldSAT important to you and the world at

large?

I partner with LoveWorldSAT because years ago Pastor

Chris spoke about using social media platforms

to preach the Word; on platforms

such Yookos, LoveWorldSAT, and Kingschat. The world is creating content of the world’s agenda and what I would

ask myself is “What are we as Christians

doing to drive the Word agenda?”

Let’s use the 21st century platforms for Christ’s agenda

and nothing else. Television is one of those platforms where

we can make an impact that is far more reaching than you would have in

a cell, church, or in an evangelistic kind of environment. It is a far outreaching platform that

we can use to make an impact and a difference. I partner because the ones I can’t reach by foot, I can reach by television.

What impact do you envision LoveWorldSAT making in a year’s time?

THE WORD

THE WORD

Right now our viewership is in excess of 1 billion according to my understanding. So I think it would have grown much more than the traditional television set up and I say this because we know that the internet platform is really a breeding ground for most young people and as a station one of the things that we have is the LoveWorldSAT Mobile App and we are populating the same content we have in our TV platform into the mobile app and other online platforms, so our reach is going to be almost double as we integrate it with other platforms which is much more viable from a viewership point of view.

I also see more lives, especially the lives of our young people being impacted. Television obviously has a special audience and at times Christians may have a restricted audience, but our presence on Ceflix, Youtube and other online platforms through LoveWorldSAT, will see us taking over the world. We are also showcasing these programs so that young people also hear our messages.

What are your top 3 favourite LoveWorldSAT programs and why?

Oh my goodness, it’s obviously Insight for Living. Not to be biased or anything but it’s because it’s a show that I am very passionate about. It is a show that I produce and research. My heart is about making a difference and helping the lives of many through that program. It is also to showcase how many day-to-day people can make use of the Word of God which doesn’t have to be some complicated thing. It is practical.

The other show that I love is Kids can Cook. I love it because you just see this talent that we have and we see how the Word of God comes alive in people so young. These kids are confident and bold. Older people watch them because they are cute and young people watch them because they want to be like them and they want to mimic them. And I love that the show is able to reach young ones that Insight for Living for example cannot reach.

And of course the last program that I love is the compilation of Pastor Chris

messages on Pastor Chris teachings. I love that because it energises me and I love how that you can kick off your shoes and watch it in the comfort of your home or in the comfort of your car because LoveWorldSAT is also mobile.

If I may also sneak in one show that I love, it is the one with Pastor Dillian, Pastor Chris Live. I really love that show because it is so empowering. It just charges me up.

Who do you think is an up and coming presenter on LoveWorldSAT?

Sikiiiiiiiiii. Fiki the cute presenter from Kiddies News is an upcoming presenter on LoveWorldSAT. She is the next thing baby! She is hot and happening. I love her.

What would you like to be featured more on LoveWorldSAT?

I would really like to see some reality shows that are inspirational in nature.

How has LoveWorldSAT especially Pastor Chris’ teaching impacted your life, your business and family?

Without a doubt it has definitely had a positive impact in my life. It has given me and my household the opportunity to engage with the Word at any time and place. There were times where I would be experiencing a challenge and have a sense of self-pity for myself, but when I switch on LoveWorldSAT I am bombarded by the power of the Holy Spirit. At various moments I would be translated from the state I am in at that very time to where I am supposed to be. There is no way that I would remain in that down, feeling-sorry-for-myself state. The content has revolutionised my life because it is easily accessible and available. It has impacted my life because as much as I have my Pastor in church and Pastor Chris teachings, also hearing the Word in different ways through the different content presented, helps to realise that the Word is real. Through shows like Pastor Chris Live, Crushing the Pressure, insight for living, when you watch and listen to all those different shows you’ve got to be silly to not allow the Word to simmer in you. And

so by virtue of me having the accessibility to this, it has changed my life because I have been able to practicalize the messages that I hear from there. And also we have got different genres of messages, but the common denominator is the Word of God, so it helps me sit up and listen and actually do the Word.

It has also helped me in my life because that is how I win souls. I have LoveWorldSAT on my phone, through the LoveWorldSAT mobile app and sometimes when I don’t have things to say and when I encounter souls that are difficult and technical with their arguments, at certain times I know that there will be certain programs playing, I would spend time with them and play the program on my mobile device, so it is also a soul winning platform. So it has made my life easier as a soul winner.

What would you like to say to our LoveWorldSAT viewers around the globe?

Continue to stay tuned LoveWorldSAT because it is the best TV Station in the world. As you stay tuned remember the people that are putting together those programs and the content want to hear from you. So perhaps like during a live show when you have the opportunity to engage with the various shows and presenters, please give them a call. Write them your testimony because they are putting their heart in those shows, so they would love to know the impact the show has on you. When they hear from you, I know personally that it makes me super happy, so our viewers should do more and more of that and not only when they see you in person, but also through the various communicating platforms that we have ie. Yookos and Kingschat.

Also if our viewers have ideas of what they would like to see they should share it with us. We would love to hear from them. They should also remember that each show has a cost value to it. And as they watch it and rejoice they should also bear that in mind that there is a love value, but also there is a cost value and so they should partner with LoveWorldSAT to continue to enjoy the benefits of the station.

I’ve been watching Pastor Chris and following his teachings for more than ten years. At first it was on SABC channel every Sunday morning way back in 2004 and then I was introduced to LoveWorldSAT and started watching from my decoder daily in the morning, afternoon, evening and at night. I then got

born again through watching Pastor Chris on LoveWorldSAT and held on to every word he was teaching through his messages. For five long years I was sleeping on my couch in the lounge because I just couldn’t miss out on the teachings. At that time my husband was sick with a stomach condition for eleven years. I then put to work, the word of God that I had learnt through listening to those messages. I would lay hands on him and command the sickness to go and I can tell you he is now healed - it’s been two years since he received his healing miraculously!

The devil was not happy at all. I then had an attack and got sick. I was diagnosed with hiatial hernia or gastro reflux which affected me for two years. I couldn’t eat dairy products, anything sweet, even bread, rice or pasta without me feeling very sick. My stomach would just swell up and I looked and felt pregnant. I couldn’t walk fast anymore, even short distances would leave me out of breath. Climbing the stairs was even worse, it would feel as if my heart would stop. At night I would get anxiety attacks whilst asleep and it felt as if I was losing my mind. My heart would race at a pace that it really felt like a heart attack. This condition was so unbearable I couldn’t think straight anymore. Fear got a hold of me. I was just afraid. It made me someone I was not. It took my joy and laughter away.

I decided to stand my ground and exercise my faith. I refused to take any medication because I knew that those teachings from Pastor Chris had already laid a foundation in me. I told myself, if they have been so powerful and worked out a miracle for my husband who had been sick for eleven years then they can do the same for me. I continued to watch LoveWoldSAT and studied every ministry material I could lay my hands on in the house from Pastor Chris - even old Rhapsodies.

The condition continued for several months but I refused to give up and I never even considered going to visit the doctor. At night when feeling sick I would call the LoveWorldSAT 24/7 call centre for prayers from the prayer counsellors and they would pray for me over the phone and at times I would call for encouragement whenever I was depressed or down in my spirit. I even joined the LoveWorldSAT lovely family and became a partner and started partnering with LoveWorldSAT.

Two months later I realized that the symptoms had disappeared. I’m eating everything now without getting sick. All praise and honour to God our Father.

To Pastor Chris Sir, I want to say I love you, I love you, I love you! Yes today I am free from that condition because I have been confessing the Word you have taught me. Amen!.

KIDS IN ACTION

GIFTEDTHURSDAYS AT 4:30 PM

Gifted is our children’s program focused on grooming children in various talents. We give each of them an exposure to their particular gift by bringing guests on the set who specialize in those gifts. The guest gives the child on set a kick start to their dreams. We host children talents in singing, presenting, acting, playing musical instruments, cooking, just to mention a few. Gifted is about igniting a fire and passion in our children and encouraging them to follow their dreams.

KIDS ADVENTUREWEDNESDAYS AT 4:30 PM

This is a very exciting show for kids knowing that kids have curious minds. On this show the presenters (Tebogo and Emmanuel) go to different places to explore, learn and have fun. This is an educative yet entertaining kiddies program.

GYM KIDS WEDNESDAYS AT 4:50 PM

This show focuses on giving kiddies exercises so as to avoid obesity and help them overcome many learning difficulties by giving them brain fitness.

We have professional coaches who go to different schools and do exciting exercises that kids can relate with. The kids exercise with fun!

NAIL IT!HairIt is said that a woman’s hair is her crowning glory, and there is a lot of truth in that. A well-kept hairstyle and well-groomed scalp will certainly add a lot of glory to one’s crown literally. Most hair-care products nowadays are no longer gender specific therefore men can now participate in the fun of caring for their hair and scalp using professional products.

A good conditioner should always be applied to further nourish the hair after it has been stripped of dirt , oil and moisture. Conditioners can be applied for a few minutes and rinsed out or left in the hair if the formula is a leave-in conditioner. Using a conditioner will invigorate and refresh the scalp while conditioning the hair.

TIPS FOR SHAMPOO AND

CONDITIONER

Always use lukewarm for washing your hair, because hot water can be harsh to the scalp and also cause damage to hair extensions.

Use a shampoo recommended for your hair type and needs e.g. fine hair, anti-dandruff, frizz control etc.

Use a conditioner recommended for your hair type and needs e.g. volumising, heat damage repair etc.

NailsWell groomed and well-kept nails are the best accessory for any finger. A diamond ring placed on a finger whose nail is broken or un-kept will look less than its value. A simple way of maintaining nails is keeping them short and applying some nail colour. Nail colour can be

in the form of a nail treatment product e.g. nail strengther, or nail growth enhancer. Summer, autumn, and spring provide fun and interesting nail colours.

NAIL TIPS

1. When applying nail polish to your toes, use a toe separator to protect your nail polish from smudging.

2. Applying nail polish from the smallest to the thumb will also help you minimise smudging when self-applying nail polish

3. Always apply a fresh coat of nail polish on clean finger nails instead of just covering up a chipped, old application. It is unsightly and unprofessional looking

4. Use a nail file or emery board instead of a nail clipper for your finger nails.

before: the Sea of Galilee, Jerusalem, Nazareth, and

the Mount of Olives. But to some these places were just words on the pages of Jesus’ life.

For years of my Christian life, the places and stories of Jesus’ seemed like a patchwork quilt. I had no idea how they all fit together. Most recently with the LoveWorldSAT team, I was opportuned to visit these places which as I journeyed, was able to experience the Bible come alive to me like never before. Just as you would see a puzzle

put together, I was able to now place Jesus in the picturesque landscapes of this beautiful land.

place from the aromatic Jerusalem markets to the salty seaside of the Dead Sea

The are just a few of many things I got to enjoy. In addition to seeing the places Jesus walked and ministered, I gained a deeper understanding of Jesus’ purpose and life. His ministry wasn’t just a bunch of good deeds, teachings, and miracles on His way to die for our sins in Jerusalem. As one walks in the footsteps of Jesus, I got to understand His purpose from the beginning. I got to discover how He developed the lives of His disciples which in retrospect gave insight of how He is working in my life in the

same way.

I can honestly say that I will never be the same! My first trip to Israel so impacted my life, I wondered, Is this normal? Have others also had similar experiences in the Holy Land? For the next few days after my return, I did a thorough research on how a tour to Israel affects the spiritual life of a Christian. After surveying hundreds of Christians who have traveled to the Holy Land, I discovered:

- They agreed that experiencing the land of Israel has strengthened their spiritual life.

- They have increased in their love for God and the Bible through the study of Bible lands.

- They noted that knowing the lands mentioned in the Bible helps their memory of biblical events.

A journey to the Holy Land is far more than an overseas vacation. It’s an investment in your walk with God that will change your life by forever changing the way you read the Word of God. There is no doubt that this is a very significant discovery. Such a concentration of biblical inscriptions, symbols and infrastructure from the Time of Christ our Lord and Saviour and in such a state of preservation, is rare and unique and most intriguing.

Each episode aims to inspire the youth to find their life’s purpose, pursue it and be the change they want to see in the world.

Again on the 30th of April The LoveworldSAT Campaign went to the Randburg Taxi Rank for awareness creation. The Team helped people download the LoveworldSat App and stay connected to the Station.

We want to make LoveworldSAT a household name not only in Southern Africa but in the world at large, so we going full force with these campaigns, connecting our cities and communities; the world to the Word.

HONEY & MUSTARDCHICKEN WITHCASHEW NUTSRECIPESERVES 5

INGREDIENTS:Marinade:125ml olive oil

30ml honey

20ml soy sauce

20ml mustard

1tsp of crushed garlic

15ml lemon juice

Chicken:Chicken pieces

Salt and pepper

Roasted cashews

WITH CHIPO CHIBAYA

DIRECTIONS:1. Marinade: mix all ingredients into a bowl and pour over chicken breasts. Marinade for 1 – 2 hours2. Heat a pan and spoon half of the marinated fillets into the pan and fry on each side until golden brown. Remove from heat and repeat with remaining fillets. Return all fillets to the pan and pour remaining marinade over the chicken3. Lower the heat and simmer with lid for another 5-7 minutes.4. Season to taste and sprinkle with nuts.5. Serve. BON APETIT!
