the secret of being happy the secret of being happy photo by francesco moldavian
TRANSCRIPT
Once there was an angry young girl. As she was
washing the dishes she
heard a sound which annoyed her very much.
She turned and saw a butterfly trapped inside the house. She
picked up a magazine to kill it but then she heard………..
a whisper. She bent down and
heard, “Don’t hurt me. Don’t hurt me. You need
me.” Surprised, the girl opened the window and let the butterfly
escape.
The young girl thought and
finally answered, “I want to be happy”. The
angel bent down and whispered
something in her ear, then
disappeared.
Many happy years later, now
old, she lay dying. Her
friends gathered around her bed.
They asked, “Please tell us your secret of happiness.”
The woman bent over and
whispered, “The angel told me I
was now an angel and
wherever I went, I’d meet people who would need
me.
It is meeting those needs that
has kept me happy. The
secret of happiness is to be needed and to understand how important
that is.
Teachers are needed by their students.
There isn’t another job as important.
Make your students feel needed and you too will bring life long
happiness to them.
