It reads: I just wanted to thank you for allowing us to host your group last Friday. That was so much fun! What a great group of individuals - Fun, Eccentric, Ornery and Gracious! We enjoyed them all and would be more than happy to have them again. Those Cars!!! I’ve never seen so much beauty at our bank. Lots of time, money, blood, sweat and probably tears in those cars. Love it!!. Thank you again. Angie Johnson I’m not sure who might be the eccentric or ornery ones referred to but I can probably guess!! Glad everyone had a fun time! The rainy weather didn’t seem to slow us down one bit since there were plenty of indoor games to try. And Jerry Conrad, Linda Ochs, Jackie and Tory made sure we had plenty to eat. We still had some ice cream from our ice cream social and still didn’t finish it. But the DeCamp Family cleaned up on most all of the Play Day awards! Thanks to Alan and Jamie and all of the spud suppliers who helped with our October baked potato dinner. We had lots of stuffings to load on the spuds with a great variety of sweets to go with the final servings of ice cream. What tasty treats they all were!! Also glad to have new members John and Beverly Bornefeld and Don Harper back with us. DuValls are leading a group on a gangster tour and lunch the first Saturday in November. Meet at QT on 81st and 51 Hiway in BA at 8:30am. Our breakfast will be on the second Saturday at Hard Rock Casino. And then on Monday, Nov. 11, we will meet at QT on County Line Road and 71st at 9:30 to caravan to Claremore for the Veterans’ Day parade. Lori Fullbright confirmed that she still plans to meet with us at our November meeting to talk about scams, frauds and other crimes. I hope you continued on page 2

The Rumble Sheet

Greetings, I continue to hear glowing reports regarding

the Fall Tour. We certainly regret that we had to miss it even if we did enjoy a nice voyage around Spain. The president of the bank that hosted the group sent a very complimentary letter I wanted to share. It reads: I just wanted to thank you for allowing us to host your group last Friday. That was so much fun! What a great group of individuals - Fun, Eccentric, Ornery

and Gracious! I have seen several photos from those on the National Canyon Tour and it appears they, too, were having a super trip. Maybe Bullards, Hoyles or some others will send in a report. While we are talking tours, stop right now and mark your calendars for the Spring Tour for April 23-26, 2020. Many thanks again to Kent for organizing and

running Play Day.

The club received a nice card from Nancy Forcum. Thank you, Benny for the nice article in the in the Rumble Sheet. Linda Mellage is recovering from surgery and Marvin is to take her a loaded baked potato! Many thanks to Alan Schmidt for organizing baked potato night and to all the baked potato night helpers! Two new board member candidates are Ollie Harris and Mitchell Du Vall. Per club bylaws we are required to announce these names in the October meeting and vote in November. We require an odd number of board members, these two will allow for a board of 5 which meets all requirements. With all our committee support, a board made up of 5 will serve us well. Christmas Luncheon Update Our location and menu has recently changed but all for the better!! Instead of a buffet, we will now have a plated lunch served. A choice of an entree (Southwest Tilapia, Chicken Piccata or Beef Stroganoff), salad, vegetables, bread, and dessert with tea or coffee. Tickets remain at $20. The Bistro at Seville is on the NE corner of 101st and Yale. Large and comfortable private dining area. Plenty of parking. Bring your checks or cash to the next event and give to Alan Schmidt or Ken. Also, get your tickets for the Tommy Gun from Ken. We will draw for the raffle at the luncheon. Don’t forget to bring a wrapped dirty Santa gift designated for either a guy or gal and an unwrapped toy for the police (no stuffed animals, please!) This is always a festive event! The club has agreed to subsidize a portion of the overall cost to make it more reasonable for all to enjoy. We hope everyone can attend.
