Course Description This course is designed to give exam candidates comprehensive preparation for the RESNA ATP examination. The course is intended for individuals familiar with wheelchairs and seating & positioning, and therefore expands upon other areas of interest such as ECU's, Augmentative Communication, Computer Access, Funding Sources and Legislation, & Ergonomics. The course will provide attendees with detailed information about the exam content and question breakdown percentages, as well as critically important standardized test taking strategies. This course includes a practice examination that is administered on a pro-rated timed basis to give attendees a feel for the type of questions they will experience. The practice exam is reviewed with attendees with full explanation of answers and methodology.Learning Objectives

The Road to Success: A RESNA (ATP Exam) Preparatory Course

1) Participants will discuss the RESNA ATP exam material through a detailed analysis of the examination and content breakdown that will beexpected to be successful with the RESNA ATP credential exam.2) Participants will review and discuss detailed information regarding successful standardized test taking strategies.3) Participants will review and discuss the basics of seating and positioning concepts including clinical applications of products, technologiesavailable for persons with various sensory impairments, and assistive technology devices available that may improve a consumer’sindependence.4) Participants will be able to identify and measure their preparation level for the RESNA ATP exam as a result of the practice exam anddiscussion period that is incorporated in the course structure.
