Brothers, As the LSU Chapter begins its fall semester back on LSU’s campus, we are reminded of the integral role alumni serve in our chapter. We look forward to continuing to build personal and professional relationships with our alumni to truly live up to the “brotherhood of a lifetime”. I encourage each one of you to get involved with chapter functions. Whether that’s through attending a chapter meeting, providing programming support for chapter events or even stopping by to chat with some of the actives, we are eager to welcome you back into our brotherhood. Alumni Spotlight: Christopher Gray

Christopher Gray joined Delta Chi as a sophomore in the spring of 1990 as a member of the Pi class.

He started a computer consulting

business while in school during the

spring of 1992. He graduated in

August 1993 with a bachelor of arts

majoring in history.

After graduation, Christopher

returned to Lake Charles and Gray

Computer Solutions became a full time

venture specializing in local area

networks (LAN). In 1995, he opened

CADMAP Solutions to also enter the

computer aided design (CAD) and

geographic information systems (GIS).

In 1998 Christopher joined Merrill

Lynch in New York, NY as a system

administrator becoming an assistant

vice president in 1999. In 2001 He

became a vice president and was the

support manager for the Manhattan data center. He led his team in the 911

recovery efforts for Merrill Lynch. In

2002 became the global project

manager for the Windows XP

deployment. At the end of the project he took over a team handling server

support including the interactive voice

response systems for Merrill Lynch.

In 2006 Christopher relocated to

Houston and joined The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center

as the manager of server support. He

has four teams supporting 2,600

servers running Windows, Linux,

VMware, and UNIX.

Christopher has three children: Judson who is 16, Jackson who is 14,

and Callie who is 11.

Christopher is an active volunteer with

the Boy Scouts. He has served as a

Cub Scout Den Leader and Unit

Commissioner. He is currently an Assistant Scoutmaster and District

Commissioner. He just returned from

bringing a troop to the 2013 National

Scout Jamboree in West Virginia in

July.

Mark the dates: Friday, October 11 – Sunday, October 13

The LSU Chapter would like to invite all alumni to attend this year’s Founders’ Day events, which will span the weekend of Saturday, October 11 through Sunday, October 13. Coinciding with the LSU v. Florida football game weekend, this year’s Founders’ Day events will consist of a private party hosted at The Chimes restaurant on the evening of the 11th, a football tailgate and game on the 12th, and a ritualistic meeting on the evening of the 13th.

Getting Back into the Swing

Start of fall semester brings tailgates, socials and more.

As the new semester ushers in the season of football, socials and long nights of studying, the LSU Chapter is getting back into the swing of things. With several social functions planned, in addition to home tailgates, brotherhood events and more, we look forward to what this fall semester has in store for us.

We would like to extend an invitation to fellow alumni to join the Chapter for any function we may have. Whether it’s a tailgate or brotherhood event, a chapter meeting or our philanthropy event, we are eager to invite you back onto LSU’s campus and into Delta Chi’s chapter house.
