THE MEDELLÍN RIVER
The Medellín River or river bored is a Colombian River that flows through the city of Medellín and its metropolitan area. Born to 3100 meters above sea level in the Alto de San Miguel, in the municipality of Caldas, South of the Valley of Aburrá, and 100 kilometers later, already with the name of Rio Porce, pours its waters into the river Nechi.

The city of Medellín is divided into two by the Medellín River, this river is 100 kilometers from its source until it becomes the Porce River. Since its birth in the alto de San Miguel to about 2,700 meters, until you change your name, it receives the water about 200 direct tributaries and through them to more than 352 creeks. The Medellín River basin is configured in this way.
