whenever you can with a spotting brush over absorbent cloth.

• Don’t mix products together unless advised

• The removal of food/protein based spots such as coffee, gravy, blood, faeces etc. needs a variety of techniques to solve easily.

• Powdered Enzymes such as Enzall and Prekleen which are excellent for these spots need premixing with hand hot water approx. 60°. For most stains apply this straight onto the stain except for blood.

• Blood stains need the enzyme to be mixed hot, cooled and then applied. The remaining brown mark will be probably iron and can be removed with Rust Remover.

• General food stains such as coffee, tea, juice etc. after treating with the enzyme may need a second treatment with dye remover such as Spray n Go or Dye Gone. These are rinsed with a clean cold water rinse.

• Always ensure the floor is completely free of any dust or debris before using a rotary machine or floor pad.

• Take care that High Power Floor Stripper is neutralised completely before applying seal or finish, check with a pH paper if not certain.

• When servicing commercial hard floors always leave wet areas lit to avoid accidents.

• Cordon off work areas to avoid accidents and preserve the finish during drying.

• Regular maintenance with Neutral Floor Cleaner or Tight Shine and water mixed 10:1 as a spray buff maintainer, will extend the life of the floor and avoid the disruption and time needed to strip back as often.

Hints and Tips

• When using spotting brushes, avoid scrubbing the pile, use them for tamping the spotters into the fibres over an absorbent white terry towelling cloth.

• When re-setting pile use the brush gently so as not to cause pile distortion.

• When applying carpet and upholstery protectors use a synthetic brush as the fluorochemicals can damage expensive natural bristle brushes. Always use a dedicated brush to avoid contaminating the protector and affecting the curing.

pH PapersEasily and economically test pH levels

pH papers are used as part of your pre-testing and post testing processes, to check that you and any that cleaned before you are rinsing out your products properly and leaving the carpet at the correct pH levels. Testing pH can also give you an indication of the correct pH to use to remove the soil types for professional spot removal and give an indication if there are existing chemicals still in the carpet before you begin.
