This presentation has been designed for clients who are

interested in citizenship with the United States of America.

The following information answers questions as to “what do I

do”, and “how do I get started.”

As this process can be very involved, and lengthy we

encourage those interested to follow up by going to Welcome

to USA.gov and reading through the site. Additional

information can be form to assist you in whatever needs you

may have in this aspect. Thank you, and enjoy the slides.

• For an adult immigrant to become a U.S. citizen, he or she must go through the process of naturalization. Naturalization calls for the immigrant to have fulfilled certain requirements. The following slides will show the requirements needed before a person can become a citizen of the United States of America.

You must be 18 at the time of filing for the Naturalization formN-400

Must have been a permanent legal resident for the past 3-5 yearsHave demonstrated a physical

presence & permanent residence

Immigrants must demonstrate a basic knowledge if U.S. History, government and civic principles.

Immigrants must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Requirements

Filling these requirements take time, but after they are done the applicant must be tested on their skills and knowledge. Afterwards the Oath of Allegiance is given, and you receive a certificate of Naturalization.
