Logan Simpson Team: Michael Chalona, and Lisa Zoeller Interpreter provided by Ad Verbum MEETING SUMMARY OVERVIEW: The meeting was a drop in, open house style, with no formal presentation. Attendees were free to visit whichever stations interested them most. Leaders from the Boys and Girls Club brought in their students to participate in the open house. They discussed what was happening with the proposed park and provided an opportunity for the kids to fully participate in the open house activities. 1. There were eight stations with supporting graphics and boards. a. At the entry to the building, the welcome board was displayed in the hallway outside the meeting room. b. A sign in station was set up at the entry into the meeting room. Comment sheets and survey links were distributed to attendees. i. DPR staffed this station. c. The third station was an aerial image of the neighborhood. Attendees stuck a colored pin into the board showing where they live. This allowed the team to gain an understanding of who attended and their proximity to the park site. i. DPR staffed this station. d. The fourth station contained three boards that contained a park location map, a project and process history, and project timeline. i. DPR staffed this station. i. The first board provided a definition of a pocket park, a location map, and a neighborhood boundary map.

ii. The second board provided a graphic word cloud summary of the communities input and comments from the January 26th and February 20th open house meetings.iii. The final board depicted a timeline of the past processes and future steps for the project.

e. A park naming station was set up inside of the meeting room. A list of past-suggested names was taped to a host table. Attendees were asked to suggest additional names or support already suggested names.

i. SDC members staffed this station.f. The next station consisted of three boards with a summary of the results from the

second open house and survey. i. The first board showed the voting results between the three alternatives

previously presented.ii. The second board showed the voting results for playground styles.iii. The third board showed the voting results for the park design styles.iv. Logan Simpson and DPR staffed this station.

g. The seventh station consisted of the preferred concept site design. The preferred plan synthesized layout and design aspects of the three alternatives based on the community input from the previous meetings and survey.

i. Logan Simpson and DPR staffed this area.h. The next station included the 3D physical, scale model and a color print of the

preferred site concept plan. The site plan was set into the model to gain an understanding of the spatial relationships between the preferred plan and the surrounding building context.
