Today’s Worship Plan

2 Corinthians 9:6-8 “...Whoever sows sparingly will also reap also sparingly and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.”… Please notice the offering box in the entranceway; where we cheerfully place our offerings in the collection box. Your contributions to God help us preach the Gospel here in Cedar Key, around the world and carry out works of benevolence to the glory of Christ our Lord.

Welcome Visitors and Members! We hope that your experience today will add something meaningful to your life in Christ Jesus. If you are new to the area and would like more information about this church, let us know. If you are just visiting our island community, then we hope to see you again.

Would you like to confess your faith in Jesus Christ and repent of your sins today? Come forward during the last song and we will assist you in obeying Christ as Lord – or let us know your desire some other time. We can arrange a time for your baptism into Christ. If you are a Christian and wandered away from home with the Lord, you may make your desire known and we will pray for God to forgive your sins, and fully restore you to Jesus Christ and joyful fellowship with other Christians.

Share the Good News! Free Bible studies and much more are available at our congregation’s web site Cedar Key Church of Christ. We also have the church’s weekly Bulletin on

our web site.

Cedar Key FFA is sending an Ornamental Horticulture team to the state contest in April! FFA members

Amanda Robinson and MacKenzie Kirkbride will represent CKS in the marketing division with their presentation Tealicious Creations. The teas they created were from their own recipes. Amanda and MacKenzie advanced to the state because they placed first in Monday's district competition at Branford High School. Also competing Monday were two other long-time FFA members, Grace Cowart and Casey Williams. They placed second in the consumer use division for their presentation on C & G Homemade Remedies, which included a presentation on how they produced their health and beauty aid products. We are proud of you, Amanda and

Grace!

We will have short Men’s Meeting after Worship today to discuss church business. Please plan to come and participate.

*Bible question: In alphabetical order, which is the first

book in the Bible?

What Is My Stewardship?

Beloved, do not imitate evil but imitate good. Whoever does good is from God. Whoever does evil has not seen God. (3 John 11)

A steward is a person with responsibility over someone else’s property of large estate. A good steward will not only protect the owner’s property, but will work diligently in the best interests of the owner. The steward will constantly work for the owner to grow the estate and/or increase income regardless of whether or not the owner is absent or present. This is a stewardship.

(Psalm 24) Everything that exists belongs to God. Whenever we put our priorities in the proper order, God will bless our work.

(Matthew 4:18-22) Young people when challenged with the difficulty of making a career choice to prepare toward, may complain: I don’t know what I want to do with my life!” Jesus helps many people decide what is most important in a person’s life. Vocation and Avocation are both helpful for a complete and full life. We often hear advice like: “Don’t give up your day job”, or Peter may have counseled his brothers, “Let’s don’t forget how to be fishermen.”

(Matthew 25:14-29) The more we use all the talents God give us the more we will have to bring glory to the Kingdom of Heaven – Church.(Romans 12:12-13) We never have to look very far to find opportunities to be good and faithful stewards over what God blesses us with in a material and spiritual sense. Our homes or palaces also belong to God and everyone has an opportunity for joyful service. (Hebrews 13:2) When we begin to open our hearts and funds up to people in need, God will surely surprise us with more opportunities! (1 Peter 4:9) The proper use of hospitality is a gift that must be used or it will wither and die for lack of use. Resist the temptation to give reluctantly and without a cheerful heart. (Mark 12:41-44) The poor widow is a great example from Jesus on giving without hoping others will notice how much we gave. God knows what is in the heart of the person doing the giving.

“Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11 ESV) DB
