Music Ministry

Music Ministry is alive and vibrant at St. Barbara’s Parish! There are many opportunities to partici-pate in the musical ensembles.

For those of you who enjoy singing but are unable to commit to the regular choir prac-tice schedules, this is perfect for you to cele-brate in memorable church history. St. Barbara’s Adult Choir: Practices on Sunday morning at 9:30am prior to 10:30am mass. It is open to high school students and adults who have a passion for singing. No auditions required. Come and join us in singing and prayer. St. Barbara’s Adult Bell Choir: Members should also be of high school age above. Ringing does require some technique, easier than learning how to operate your IPhone!! The Adult Bell Choir practices on Wednesday evenings from 5:45-7:00pm and plays one Sunday a month at the 10:30am mass. St. Barbara’s Contemporary Ensemble: is a mix of musicians and singers who lead the 4:30pm mass on Saturdays. Music is of the contemporary flare. If you have questions, please contact Marisa Stoll at the parish office @ 330-833-6898 or [email protected].

Notify the Rectory Office – 330-833-6898 It would be very helpful if you would notify the rec-tory if a loved one has died so that we can include the information in the bulletin. We try to watch the newspaper obituaries but sometimes we miss it. It is so nice for the whole parish to pray for your loved ones; as we are a family!

Are you a Parishioner of St. Barbara’s? Are you and your family registered parishioners? Please do not assume you are registered just be-cause you attend Mass. If you have not called the Rectory or stopped in, we do not have record of you. Please call the Rectory at 330-833-6898, from 8:30-4:30 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Fri-day to get registered.

Marked By Faith (Ages 21 to 39) Marked By Faith is a Catholic young adult ministry formed by St. Barbara Parish. It is open to all young adults at any parish, married or single, between the ages of 21 and 39. The events take place usually on the first Sunday of the month from 3 PM to 5 PM in the Community Room. This ministry aims to strengthen faith and build community among Catho-lic young adults in northeastern Ohio through prayer, discussion, and service. For more details about this event and future events, join our Facebook group: facebook.com/groups/markedbyfaith or contact Mol-lie Luginski at [email protected] or 330-833-6898.

Attention 18-Year Olds or Older ! Persons who are 18 years old or older need to regis-ter in their own name at the Rectory as a parishioner since they are now adults. It does not matter whether living at home or not. If you are 18 or over and have not registered in your own name, please come to the Rectory and register as an adult. This is important since you may need proof of active parish participa-tion for Marriage or to be a Sponsor for Baptism or Confirmation. Please call the Rectory at 330-833-6898.

Vocations – Let us pray that priests, deacons, sisters and brothers who, for the sake of Christ, have suffered the loss of all things, will be strengthened in their vocations to bring many souls to the knowledge of salvation.
