While the library offers a wide variety of electronic, audio, and visual media, we still offer a terrific selection of new books. Check out some of these recent additions to our non-fiction collections:
150 Best Jobs for the Military-to-Civilian Transition, by Laurence Shatkin, offers helpful
advice for our returning servicemen and women on leveraging military skills in the civilian
marketplace.
The Community College Career Track: How to Achieve the American Dream Without a
Mountain of Debt, by Thomas Snyder, discusses the advantages which are offered by com-
munity college attendance, for both new high school graduates as well as those who have
not attended school in awhile.
Eagle Scouts, a Centennial History, by Robert Birkby, explores the first hundred years of
Eagle Scouting in a pictorial text sure to please current and former scouts as well as the
general reader.
Killing Kennedy: The End of Camelot, by former teacher and tv commentator Bill O'Reilly,
is a readable look at events leading up to the president's assassination, as well as the after-
math of the tragedy.
The Redgraves, by Donald Spoto, looks at the theater dynasty which gave the world Lynn
Redgrave, Vanessa Redgrave and their father, Michael Redgrave.
The Joy of X: A Guided Tour of Math, from One to Infinity, by Steven Strogatz, is an
extremely readable text which highlights how math underpins most of our everyday
life. You need not be a math scholar to absorb what this book has to offer.
These and more titles are available at the Round Lake Library.
