Occupying an idyllic location on the banks of the beautiful river Usk, this charming five star ‘restaurant with rooms’ provides a relaxing rural retreat with six stylishen-suite bedrooms, near the picturesque village of Tredunnock. Fishing at the Newbridge on Usk

The Celtic Manor Resort is delighted to offer guests the opportunity to participate in fly fishing on the nearby River Usk. Synonymous with some of the best salmon and trout fishing outside of Scotland, our experienced Ghillie is able to guide you in the skills required to fish this dramatic tidal river.

The salmon and trout season runs every year from 3rd March to 17th October. To protect the habitat of the river there are a number of restrictions regarding fishing during this period as detailed below:

The Newbridge on Usk is part of the Celtic Manor collection and will be the base for your fishing expedition. Parking is available or alternatively, if you are staying with us at the Resort, complimentary transfers can be arranged for your party.

A half day fishing expedition is over a four hour period and will usually be taken as either an AM (8am – 12pm)

or PM (1pm – 5pm) session, with a full day fishing expedition over an eight hour period usually from 8am to 5pm

with an hour for lunch. Timings may be subject to change based on river levels due to high/low tide times. Actual

session time will be confirmed on booking. The length of your fishing experience includes a pre-session briefing

and transfer time to and from your chosen site.
