The New Generationof PUR Adhesives

The success story of 1-component PUR adhesives

Same fifteen years ago, LOCTITE introduced the first DINstandards-compliant 1 C PUR adhesives to the market forload-bearing engineered wood applications. Today, they areused in nearly all countries araund the globe. A number ofpioneering companies quickly recognized the advantagesof the new technology versus conventional adhesives: theybecame ever clearer as innovative bonded wood componentswere deployed in more and more sophisticated applications.

Now, a new generation of LOCTITE adhesives is making itsdebut in the marketplace. lt is the result of close collaborationbetween Bayer MateriaiScience in Germany and LOCTITE inSwitzerland. The HB S line is poised to further inspire the industrial use of adhesives in the domain of engineered wood.

HB S adhesives by LOCTITE

Open time range between 4 minutes (fast end) and 70 minutes (slow end).

Between the two ends, a product can be selected with anindividually specified, infinitely variable open time.

Flber-free.

Favorable press time to open time ratio.

Certified across the entire application bandwidth.

Patented.

The new chemistry allows the applied volume to be reducedby 20% to 30% in comparison with the previous generationof PUR adhesives.

Enables a new application technology that is precise,maintenance-free, and non-clogging.

Efficient and reliable application with newly developedRobatech equipment.

Product switchovers on existing appllcation systems suchas Oest or others must first be carefully analyzed in cooperationwith a LOCTITE specialist

The new adhesives are solvent- and formaldehyde-free andfulfill strict requirements with respect to indoor air quality.

The HB S line is the first 1 C PUR adhesives famlly explicitlydeveloped and certified for the engineered wood industry.

By the highly respected adhesives specialist for the reliableproduction of bonded wood elements.

The product portfolio

The characteristics of the adhesives used are key factors thatdetermine the cost-effectiveness and overall metrics of engineeredwood production facilities. The LOCTITE HB S line gives you the ability to adjust the properties of the adhesive to your production process, resulting in quality, reliability, and efficiency.
