Machu Picchu commands a respect unlike any sight we’ve visited while Lima offers an insight into a local culture few experience. Not to be outdone, Huacachina offers the opportunity to experience the adventure of visiting a desert oasis. The three months we spent in India could not be more appropriately highlighted. Whether gazing in awe at the sight of the sun dancing on the marble of the Taj Mahal, humbled by the experience of immersing ourselves with voyaging pilgrims at the Golden Temple, or rendered awestruck at the rituals practiced in Varanasi, our travels through these famous locations never ceased to amaze us. The natural beauty of Thailand’s beaches effortlessly surpassed our expectations. Few countries in the world offer such a plethora of beauty and unique experiences. A more in depth view of these tourist favorites provides a higher appreciation for the reasoning behind the rumored magnificence of a country specializing in amazement. Though not as popular among the average tourist, Bolivia possesses some of the most unique fascinations in the world. The world’s highest administrative capital, La Paz, dazzles with hidden surprises. Igniting dynamite in the deep mines of Potosi and exploring the unfathomable salt flats of the Salar de Uyuni are among some of our favorite memories. The originality of Vietnam cannot be measured. While Hoi An inspires a sense of romance and distinctive beauty, Lan Ha Bay and Sapa rendered us speechless on numerous occasions. Unparalleled views of Lan Ha Bay’s karst formations and Sapa’s sweeping sights of rice terraces delivered an appreciation we never thought possible. Stunningly pristine beaches complete with vibrant white sand and crystal blue water begged us to return. The Philippines boasts some of the most impressive and captivating beaches the world has ever seen. In a country teeming with majestic scenery, we found it nearly impossible to find our favorite location.

Adventure Three: High Altitude Fun in BoliviaLa Paz, Potosi and the Salar de Uyuni

Adventure Four: Gems of Northern VietnamHoi An, Lan Ha Bay and Sapa

Adventure Five: Island Hopping in the PhilippinesBoracay, El Nido and Bohol

Few visions will impact us as greatly as those we remember from Peru. Machu

Picchu commands a respect unlike any sight we’ve visited while Lima offers an

insight into a local culture few experience. Not to be outdone, Huacachina offers

the opportunity to experience the adventure of visiting a desert oasis.

The three months we spent in India could not be more appropriately highlighted.

Whether gazing in awe at the sight of the sun dancing on the marble of the Taj

Mahal, humbled by the experience of immersing ourselves with voyaging pilgrims

at the Golden Temple, or rendered awestruck at the rituals practiced in Varanasi,

our travels through these famous locations never ceased to amaze us.

The natural beauty of Thailand’s beaches effortlessly surpassed our

expectations. Few countries in the world offer such a plethora of beauty and

unique experiences. A more in depth view of these tourist favorites provides a

higher appreciation for the reasoning behind the rumored magnificence of a

country specializing in amazement.

Though not as popular among the average tourist, Bolivia possesses some of the

most unique fascinations in the world. The world’s highest administrative capital,

La Paz, dazzles with hidden surprises. Igniting dynamite in the deep mines of

Potosi and exploring the unfathomable salt flats of the Salar de Uyuni are among

some of our favorite memories.

The originality of Vietnam cannot be measured. While Hoi An inspires a sense of

romance and distinctive beauty, Lan Ha Bay and Sapa rendered us speechless

on numerous occasions. Unparalleled views of Lan Ha Bay’s karst formations

and Sapa’s sweeping sights of rice terraces delivered an appreciation we never

thought possible.

Stunningly pristine beaches complete with vibrant white sand and crystal blue

water begged us to return. The Philippines boasts some of the most impressive

and captivating beaches the world has ever seen. In a country teeming with

majestic scenery, we found it nearly impossible to find our favorite location.

Adventure Six: Unpacking My Backpack What's Inside and How Do I Fit Everything For Multiple

Months Away?

Adventure Seven: Going Back In Time In Myanmar (Burma) Yangon, Inle Lake and Bagan

Adventure Eight: Defying Stereotypes In Colombia Medellin, Salento and Cartegena

Adventure Nine: Ruins and Education In GuatemalaTikal, Antigua and Lake Atitlan

Adventure Ten: Landlocked in Laos Luang Prabang, Vientiane, Pakse and Don Det

Adventure Eleven: A Roadtrip In New Zealand Rotorua, Queenstown and State Parks Along the Way

Share in our appreciation for a culture still relying on primitive methods of survival.

The floating gardens and local life of Inle Lake left us in awe while the beauty of

Bagan captured our hearts. Not to be outdone, the most famous pagoda in

Myanmar took our breath away in Yangon.

How do we prepare for multiple climates? How do we stay connected with family and

friends back home? Whether scrubbing laundry by hand in the shower or preventing bed

bug attacks, find out which items are most essential to our travels.  We will go through

each item on our lengthy packing list!

In a country deemed unsafe for travel by our government, rarely had we

experienced a more heartwarming welcome. The impressive city of Medellin

draws travelers from around the world as Cartegena proudly displays Columbia's

colorful heritage. The coffee plantations and lush natural beauty of Salento proved

to be one of our favorite destinations in all our travels.

Explore the anceint ruins of Tikal with us and discover the inspiration for building

some of the world's most impressive monuments. Then laugh with us as we do

our best to learn Spanish, often leading to entertaining interactions with locals

attempting to correct our sentences before venturing to Pacaya, the famous

volcano neighboring Antigua.

One of the poorest countries in the world, Laos remains a popular backpacker

destination. Scenic views from atop a towering Wat and surreal aqua blue

waterfalls highlight Luang Prabang. A park packed with impressive statues of

Buddha outside Vientiane inspired hours of photography. Continue with us

through the country to find a river home to over 4,000 islands.

The adventure capital of the world easily lived up to its name. Neon colored

sulfuric hot springs and camping on beaches home to sea lions kept us smiling

throughout the country. Our brief stay in Queenstown will never be forgotten,

giving us the opportunity to jump from a plane at 15,000 feet!
