The Montreal Aviation Museum The Montreal Aviation Museum (MAM for short, and formerly known as the Canadian Aviation Heritage Centre) is a community oriented, non-profit organization. It is the only one of its kind in Quebec, combining civil and military aircraft, artifacts and memorabilia, and has the full support of many established cultural and educational organizations, including the Canada Aviation and Space Museum and McGill University. Founded by Godfrey Pasmore in 1998, MAM is situated in the historical "Old Stone Barn" on the Macdonald Campus of McGill University in Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue (Montreal), Quebec. Two workshops have been created for the construction and preservation of historically significant aircraft. Other wings of the building have been transformed into an art gallery, machine shop, administration offices, conference room, library and artifact preservation area. Our collection of vintage aircraft includes a Fairchild Bolingbroke Mk.IV (manufactured at the Longueuil plant in 1942) under restoration, a flying full-size replica of a Blériot XI, a Curtiss-Reid Rambler replica under construction, a Fairchild FC-2, a half-scale replica Silver Dart, a Fleet Canuck, and many more. The Montreal Aviation Museum

The Montreal Aviation Museum (MAM for short, and formerly known as the Canadian Aviation Heritage Centre) is a community oriented, non-profit organization.

The Art Gallery is home to an extensive collection of paintings by renowned Canadian aviation artists. It also houses an impressive collection of models of historically significant aircraft.

Our library contains over 6000 books, technical manuals and aviation magazines.

MAM has successfully launched a one-of-a-kind program: “WE BUILD HERITAGE”, along with its natural offshoot, the "VETERANS INITIATIVE".A dedicated team of volunteer craftsmen create models in any scale of aircraft of personal significance to individuals and families who wish to acquire a unique heirloom. These models are displayed in a beautiful case, and come with two options as a base: a mirror or a discreet diorama depicting a realistic “historical” environment.

Each commission is exhaustingly researched (both pilot and aircraft), and an accompanying booklet contains all the relevant information (full history, photographs, war records, technical data, as well as a document illustrating the building of the model aircraft).
