Page 2: The mobile telephony industry in India witnessed

The mobile telephony industry in India witnessed unprecedented growth of more than 700%, from having less than a million subscribers in 1998 to over 752 million subscribers in 2010.

Overall growth in subscriber base by 43% between FY 2009 to FY 2010

The urban tele-density in the country at 154% is far ahead of the rural tele-density of 34%. This gives opportunity for the industry for significant investments in the rural areas.

500+ Universities in India, we need 1775 by 2020.

3200 + Engineering colleges , More than 1.1 million seats.

10 million students appearing 12th/HSC but the Client not well informed.

In 2015, “Sarv Shikshan Abhiyan” estimates 15 million students passing HSC, 2 million aspirants for Engineering Education, can we provide them opportunity of excellent learning?

Foreign University bill 2012 on table of parliament.

• PBL MODEL ?

• PhD/MS courses of CTIF/AAU/Other collaborating universities may start from 2013/14 under sandwich pattern. (e.g. 1st two years of PhD in I4CT, last year in the partner university and same pattern for MS, degree to be awarded by partner university)

• Initially UG in engineering, PG in Management with Indian University. UG course of foreign university after bill 2012 passed.

• Good number of teachers available due to GISFI PhD and EU programs.

Page 29: The mobile telephony industry in India witnessed

• Research for product development, IPRs, start up companies (In collaboration with foreign partner industry) for Indian and other markets.

• Involvement of experts worldwide by tele presence and visits, Laboratories by Industry.

• Finally, I4CT should evolve as one of the great institutions in India within next 10 years.
