    'More than 200 students turned upWednesday at 7:30 a.m. on the second floorofOld Main in support of a sit-in demonstra-tion sanctioned byMercy hurst Student Gov-ernment to protest the proposed housing re-strictions.

    The MSG executive met Thursday at 7p.m.with Dr. William P. Garvey, Mercy hurstpresident, E. William Kennedy, director ofstudent services, and Dr.Gary Brown, direc-tor of residence life,to discuss the proposedhousing policy change.

    Ultimatums were given by both sides,according to Matt Triola, MSG president TheMSG executivedemanded that the proposedpolicybe scrapped or elsethey would sanc-tion die sit-in outsideBrown's office in OldMain. .

    havea sitin, the administration would enforcea policy demanding all students, exceptcommuters but including seniors, liveoncampus, accordingto Triola. i

    The meeting was deadlocked and theMSG executives including, Triola,| RodPower, MSG vice president, Ken Floss, sec-retary. Tod George, treasurer, and GerryFanta, SAC chairperson left the office.

    The MSG executives thenmet with thestudent body at 8 p.m. in the student union todec idc ifthe sit in should go ahead. The crowdofmore than 100 students voted unanimouslyin favor of the demonstration.
