The March BillTRANSCRIPT
Officer ReportsHey Ducks!
I’ve got good news for you-
we survived election season!
Huge thanks to all of those
who helped out with an
election or a callout. We
successfully held elections
and callouts for 13 troops and
we have over 75 new Ordeal
candidates. We only had to
move one election and all of
our election team members
did a great job in holding the
elections. That being said, be
sure to give being an
Elangomat a shot- with over
75 new candidates, we’re
going to need a lot of people

Hey Ducks,
Spring Fellowship is
coming up fast. The dates
for this event is March 4 –
6. Fellowships are special
times when the entire Lodge
gathers at one place and the
fun never seems to end.
Also the 2011 Section
Conference is just a few
short months away. The
dates for the conference are
April 16-18, 2011. The
Section Conference is one of
the largest Order of the
Arrow gatherings in the
United States. Over 1,000
OA members, from across
the state, will be in
attendance. These are some
camping opportunities that
you should really take
advantage of.
Yours In Brotherhood,
John Batten

Who are we?
We are the Elemukulek Chapter of the Order of the
Arrow. Our mascot is the Duck, and we often refer to
ourselves as “The Ducks”. The word Elemukulek
means “bend in the river” . This is a fitting name as
our chapter serves the Northeast Florida Riverbend
District (taken from the sharp bend in the St. John’s
River as it passes north through Jacksonville, FL to
the Atlantic ocean) of the Boy Scouts of America. We
are located in Jacksonville, Florida USA. Our lodge,
The Echockotee Lodge, serves all of Northeast
Florida. We are members of Scouting’s “National
Honor Society” and are highly dedicated to the
principles of the Boy Scouts of America as embodied
by the Scout Oath and Scout Law. Our members are
composed of the best of all of the Boy Scout Troops
in our district as voted on by their peers. Our focus is
on cheerful service. We perform countless hours of
service to our community in many different ways.
