Ruchi Khand I Sharda Nagar, Lucknow The Lucknow Public Collegiate is one of the most prestigious schools in Uttar Pradesh.

It was founded in 1986 as a co‐educational, residential public school in Lucknow by Dr.

Jawaid Alam Khan and Mr. Sartaj Alam Khan. It is the pioneer in Day‐Boarding schools

of Uttar Pradesh.

The Lucknow Public collegiate is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary

Education (CBSE), which is the largest educational board in the country.

The school aims to ensure that its students achieve their highest academic excellence,

Use of Smart Technologies in class lectures – Smart Class is a digital initiative and

is transforming the way teachers teach and students learn in schools. It’s a new

age technology movement in India. At the core of SMARTCLASS, is a vast

repository of digital instruction materials exactly mapped to meet with the specific

objectives laid out by different learning standards and curricula. This depository is

aggregated and continuously populated through ongoing developments. The

content repository consists of thousands of highly animated, lesson specific,

3D and 2D multimedia modules built with an Instructor‐led design that allows the

FACULTY

The collegiate employ only experienced and well trained CBSE staff. The

teachers are carefully selected to ensure that they have the experience and

the required dedication to support every student regardless of the academic level.

Each faculty member is both a teacher and a scholar, an expert in his or her own

field. The faculty of the Lucknow Public Collegiate consists of 94 full time highly

qualified & trained teachers who have extensive teaching experience in their

respective field.

The Faculty not only imparts instruction through the regular teaching periods,

it also engages students in a variety of activities e.g. to conduct the morning

assembly, bring out school publication, arrange and participate in cultural shows,

inter‐house & various inter‐school competitions etc. The teachers are also

involved in school activities, cultural programs, sports day program, annual

concerts etc.

The teachers willingly provide extra classes for those requiring extra help or to

support students as school Board examination approach.

1. RECEPTION

The school reception area is big and spacious. It’s a place where the

reception staff welcomes, attends and guides the visitors in the most cordial

manner. The reception room is fully air‐conditioned with comfortable chairs for

the visitors to sit and have a glance of LPC history on a big LED. This is the area

where new admission forms are sold and they have all the details of the students

and school staff members and about the school.

2. FEE OFFICE

The fee office, adjacent to the reception is also fully air‐conditioned

with three experienced members who manage all the school records,

collection of fees, salary records, and handle income and expenditure details.

3. Mathematics Laboratory

Mathematics Laboratory consist of one of the most advanced and unique

facilities of the school. It is equipped with all the material related to math.

The phobia of mathematics vanishes and learning mathematics becomes a

fun filled activity in Mathematics Laboratory. The Lab is fully equipped

with charts models and paper cutouts of different shapes.

Students from classes III to XII learn Mathematics with model and practical

project in order to learn a subject a simpler way. Number of experiments

and paper folding activities in the lab help children clarify the

different mathematical concepts. The school has a dedicated Mathematic

society which delves into the greater mysteries of the intriguing and

essential subject. Learning advanced mathematical concepts with the help of

high‐end computers, advanced software and facilities and great teachers.

4. Principal’s Office

This room is fully furnished and air‐conditioned and considered as the heart

and brain of LPC. The Principal and Joint Director Dr Jawaid Alam Khan

interacts with the parents, students and other delegates. It’s the power house

providing guidance & motivation which makes it different from other schools.

5. Sports Room / Complex

The school recognizes that sport should be an integral part of every student’s

life. We also realize that students should be able to enjoy sports at their

appropriate level. For some students, the aim must be to perfect their skills in

one or more spots to allow them to represent the school at a higher level. For

others, the aim will be to gain maximum enjoyment from sports, for some it

might be to improve fitness and health. The sports programme and sports

periods has been carefully organized to cater for all of these needs.

The school provides the facilities for Cricket, Football with designated

grounds for each, along with Basketball, Volleyball, Softball courts and Table

Tennis, Badminton hall.

The sports department has Three well qualified and experiences PET’s under

their guidance the school reached state and national levels in sports. The

Sports room is also well equipped with all games and sports items.

Hobby/P.T. and games have given place in the school time table every

alternative day so that the students get a break & fresh breath.

6. MUSIC AND DANCE

Music is an integral part of the school. Each morning assembly begins with a

carefully selected piece of music. Students are encouraged to learn and listen

to music as a means of relaxing, meditating and understanding.

Students from classes Nursery to XII get two periods of music in a week as

part of their CBSE course. Here the emphasis is on building an understanding

of ragas and rhythms of Indian and Western music.

We have a music room well equipped with different instruments like Table

Harmonium, Flute, Electric Guiter Casio, Dholak and Synthesizer etc. There

are two trained and experienced Indian and Western music teachers under

whose guidance our school has won many school, city, state and national level

programmes. Indian Classical Dance forms part of the school’s wider

programme with students being eager to perform willingly under the able

guidance of a mined and experienced dance teacher. Twice in a week we

have dance period in every class from Nursery to X and separate Hobby

classes for dance. Our school has won many city, state and national level

dance competition.

7. THE SCHOOL LIBRARY

Our school library is built in the wide are of 2250 sq. ft. approx. The library is

extremely well resourced and is catalogued and managed by a trained

professional librarian.

To inculcate in student a taste for reading right from childhood, the school

has fully furnished library containing academic, informative and motivating

books including encyclopedias, varied range of fiction in English and Hindi.

A large number of daily news papers weekly and monthly magazines and

educational journals are subscribed. The library is fully air‐conditioned with

the capacity of 100 readers at a time.

The library has a vast collection of more than 5500 fiction and non‐fictional

books. All important test‐papers and important records are kept in the library

for consultation whenever needed. To avail the facility of library, students are

issued library cards and each class is allotted period for library. Besides the

scheduled periods students are given special permission to use library for

preparing for competitions making projects or enhancing knowledge in

general. Thus it motivates students to sail in the ocean of knowledge without

hurdles.

Our resources in the library are constantly revived and revised so that

students have access to the very latest books and material.

8. COMPUTER LABORATORY

To develop interest and expertise in information technology and computer

education, the school has computer laboratory fully equipped, with

computers approximately with the latest configuration and software

installed. The computer laboratory facilitates the teachers and students to

explore the world through interest and update their knowledge. The school

has a WIFI campus.

We have well qualified experienced teachers with updated knowledge of

computers.

9. SCIENCE LABORATORIES

To inculcate scientific spirit and aptitude the school has spacious, furnished,

well equipped Physics, Chemistry and Biology laboratory.

Keeping in tune with modern times our school ensure that practical

knowledge is placed on an equal footing with theoretical knowledge for the

all round development of the students. For this purpose, the school has

laboratories in numerous disciplines which provide in depth knowledge to its

pupils. The student friendly atmosphere in these laboratories help to enrich

the overall personality of the students through motivation and reinforcement.

10. PHYSICS LABORATORY: Physics Laboratory is equipped with all latest

apparatus required. The lab enables our future physicist to learn the toughest

laws of physics in the easiest way with maximum clarity. Each laboratory is

provided with trained laboratory assistants – the entire day.

11. CHEMISTRY LABORATORY: The chemistry lab is the most suitable places for

the budding scientist to understand the mysteries and elements of nature and

nourish spirit of experimentation and discovery. The lab is fully equipped

with all necessary equipment and chemicals of the best quality. Teachers and

Lab assistants provide full cooperation to students besides taking care of

their safety during experiments.

12. BIOLOGY LABORATORY: The lab is equipped with all necessary apparatus,

equipments charts, models, and huge variety of specimens which help future

scientist and medical aspirants in studying life process and human anatomy

in a smooth manner.

13. Auditorium: The Air‐Conditioned Auditorium is situated in the ground

floor north block. In is equipped with the most modern audio‐visual facilities

and has a massive seating capacity of approximately 500 people. The

auditorium hosts numerous events including convocation ceremony, annual

day, award functions, inter‐school and intra‐school competitions. Plays,

dances, quiz, meeting, and group, discussion are also conducted here.

14. Our Classrooms: The school has spacious and airy classrooms built to

provide the most appropriate environment for focus & concentrate. All the

class rooms have two door for entry and exist with three big window for air

ventilation. Every class is equipped with 5 fans six tube lights in the set of

three, two large green ceramic board and a white board to be used by Digital

Learning Projectors. Teaching is done through both modern smart classes and

old traditional methods of books and black boards. All the classes have proper

seating arrangement for the students. The class rooms also have 2 small and 1

big soft boards to display student’s activities and teaching aids.

15. School Hostel: Being a day boarding and boarding school our school

provides hostel facility for boys 8 years plus. The hostel can accommodate 70

students the hostel is located just after the sports rooms. It is fully air‐

conditioned hostel and has all the facilities to make them feel at home. There

is constant supervision and monitoring of the student’s activities and

emphasis is laid on their safety. Movement outside the hostel requires a

written permission from the respective wardens. Our boarding house has

four wardens who are like parents to the students.

16. DINING HALL The school dining hall can seat 55 students at a time. For

Breakfast, Lunch and dinner healthy and nutritious food is cooked in the

supervision of school kitchen incharge, Students have their food in the

presence of the warden so that they learn table manners and Good eating

habits.

17. Staff Rooms: The LPC has individual staff rooms for its faculty members in

every block. The staff rooms are fully furnished keeping in view the

convenience of the teachers.

18. Canteen: The School has a canteen where a variety of healthy food items such as fruit juices, Idli , Dhokla , Sprouts , fresh vegetables Sandwitches etc are sold during recess.
