The LMS Course on American Studies: An Overview

Introduction

• Throughout this slideshare, you will be able to view part of the American Studies LMS page. This page was created by Tami Lenker and Craig Wheatley. This course was designed to give High School students help in analyzing primary sources.

Introductory Page• On this page, students are greeted with announcements about

the course

Course Information• This is the official welcome page, in which the syllabus and

expectations are introduced.

Assignments• On the assignment page, we grouped the start up and unit

assignments into folders for easy access.

Course Documents• We made a separate folder that contained the Primary

Documents that would be used for the class. The students get the assignments, then come here to receive the documents.

Class Wiki• Each student in the class is required to have a Wiki to post

their information

Discussion Board• Last, we had a discussion board, where students could ask

questions or communicate with the class.
