The Lighthouse Club Asia Pacific Region, thru the Benevolent Fund of the club, extended medical assistance to Ivan Bereber amounting to Php 500,000. Ivan, who is working with Alveo, a subsidiary of Ayala land, is diagnosed with cancer. For its part, the Lighthouse Manila led by the Charity committee reviewed and endorsed Mr. Bereber's case to LHCAPR and added 50,000 pesos contribution to the fund. It is also recommended that LHCMB charity committee reviews Ivan's next courses of treatment to assess his progress and to see whether further assistance can be made available from the Trust.

Ivan lost his battle in 2012.

Currently his son, Miguel Bereber is being supported by the JBET

In the photo above, Ms. Mina Salud, Charity committee representative handed the check to Mr. Bereber's wife, Rafaela Bereber.

Dear Lighthouse Club Manila Branch, Inc.,

Good day!

We would like to THANK YOU for donating Fifty Thousand Pesos 50,000.00 to the affected families of Super Typhoon Yolanda. Your donation is a big help for us to build more shelter to our fellow countrymen. May God pour you and your family more blessings.

It is very hard to predict how many families Habitat will be able to help as it is totally dependent on how much funding is available. The more funds secured, the more families can be helped. Habitat for Humanity Philippines currently aims to support 80,000 families (or 400,000 people) with emergency shelter repair and clean-up kits. The scale of assistance will depend on the amount of funds we are able to raise.

Please find attached official receipt for your reference. We will deliver the original copy of official receipt next week.

As we appeal to you again, we encourage you to share this link and encourage people to donate at http://www.give2habitat.org/philippines/ReBuildPhilippines.

Have a blessed week ahead!
