The answer is so simple, that you may wonder why you had not thought about it before. Once you have understood it,

you wont want to be with out it .

Every animal is on a path through life, its Lifepath. It starts with birth, and goes on all the way to death. The path can go

through various stages, the young animal, mature adult and on to old age. Throughout its Lifepath the animal is on a journey on which it will encounter a whole variety of challenges, some big,

some small.

It is always the Challenge, relative to the Ability to Respond. Mostly the animal will be able to deal with the challenges, so much so you may not even notice. Other times the challenge

may be too great and disease will result. Animals that respond well, will be naturally more healthy.

Our preference, of course, is to support our animals being in the centre of their path and able to respond well. In the Green Zone

where life is good, everything is working well and running smoothly. Equally, we have all experienced situations when

animals come out of balance and end up in the Red Zone. At this stage it is great to have a veterinary profession that can help

manage the problem.

The important bit is that it never goes straight from Green to Red. There is an in-between bit, the Amber Zone. What really happens is that if the animal goes out of balance, it goes from

Green to Amber to Red. Similarly when it gets better it goes from Red to Amber to Green.

The better you can manage the Green and the Amber, the better the chances of steering the animal away from the Red.

Similarly if they do end up the Red, you can help them with their recovery by steering them back through the Amber and into the

Green.

• If you can support your animals, on their path through all the stages if their life, to spend as much time as possible in the Green.

• If you can get good at managing any problems that occur in the Amber with simple, gentle, natural methods.

• If you can minimise the need for having animals in the Red, needing Red types of treatment.

• If you can do all this and achieve happy, healthy, productive lives for animals in your care.

Then you are creating an amazing Holistic Lifepath for your animals and they will thank you for it.

So if you want Happy, Healthy Animals that are full of Vitality and live to a ripe old age, follow the Holistic Lifepath.

What is a Holistic Lifepath?

The Lifepath Approach goes far beyond just trying to find natural remedies for the diseases of animals. It is a completely new way of looking at animal health that puts the animal in the centre of its life.

Horses close bond with humans goes back thousands of years. Over that time much has been learned about how to do the

dance of understanding that allows us to share their lives in a most amazing adventure.

Each horse is very much an individual. There are so many different breeds and types. There are also so many different

aspirations that us humans have for our connection with them. Many of these aspirations create stresses for both the horses and ourselves. The Lifepath Approach helps understand how best to manage these stresses so the true state of health and

vitality can shine through.

By looking at a stables overall and how each horse is managed individually, it is possible to craft a tailor made Lifepath

Approach that helps you to understand the choices you make on a regular basis. In this way it becomes possible to optimise

health, using natural methods and subtle adjustments as much as possible

How it will apply to your stables?

From racing yards, to competition horses, from the big heavy breeds to the family pony, horses all have one thing in common. They all combine power, sensitivity and grace in the most beautiful way. Handled with kindness and love they give us so much.

The better the horse is understood as an individual, the happier they will be and the more they

will give.

The standard Lifepath Discovery Consultation is for three hours. I work to give you a clear understanding of the main LIfepath Principles and how they can help all the horses in the stables. During this time I will:

• Listen to you for a description of the problems you currently have with your horses.

• Get an idea of the vision you have for each of the horses.

• Get an overview of your current management strategies.

• Undertake a tour of the stables & land. • Summarise the understanding of the current problems

from a Lifepath perspective. • Introduce the key Lifepath concepts and indicate how

the philosophy could simply and easily be applied for each and every horse.

• Work with you to establish a clear set of goals and outcome.

• Follow up with a Lifepath Report that helps you see how learning Lifepath principles could be applied to your horses.

Just like a gardener can sketch out a plan for the way a garden is going to unfold for many years to come, we can

create a map for the Lifepath of the horse in your lives.

Lifepath Consultancy for Horses

Each and every stables is distinctive. The aspirations for each and every horse on the yard will vary. It is by coming to understand the Lifepath of each individual horse, as well as the dynamic between the horses that live together, that it is possible to work toward optimum health, vitality and performance.

Lifepath Consultancy for your Stables is a

completely fresh approach to looking at health.

Within the Lifepath Consultancy for Stables, I will always work to empower you as the horse owner to have a better

understanding of how you can work to help manage your horses with more time in the Green or Amber, so that they need

to spend less time in the Red.

It is always important to keep the welfare of your horses uppermost. I will always encourage you to make sure:

• Red Level treatments are undertaken as needed under the guidance of your local veterinary practice.

• Red Flags are in place for all situations so that you are prepared to take action in any situation should it deteriorate.

• Green Level husbandry is up to scratch to ensure horses are looked after to a good standard.

Once these steps are in place, then it is safe to consider:

• Amber Level to look at all the natural medicine based approached you can use to help steer your horses toward the Green.

I am always keen to encourage you to look for the simplest, gentlest approach to get the required results.

It is the weaving of the natural philosophies of health and disease, with the emphasis on looking form a health upwards

perspective rather than a disease downwards perspective that makes the Lifepath Approach unique.

A Lifepath Discovery Consultation is really the first in a series of potential stepping stones that give you the opportunity to

become an amazing Lifepath horse owner.

Having established the basic principles there is scope to create individual Lifepath plans for each of the different horses in your

care. The Discovery consultation is always good value and introduces some key concepts that can help you shift your

perceptive toward a more Green and Amber way of horsemanship. My goal is always to empower you, as the

owner, to be more in charge of keeping your horses healthy naturally.

Whether it is to start to explore the current problems in a different way, or because you are keen to learn how to help

your horses spend less time in the Red and more in the Amber or Green, or you would simply like to find out some

more, then you can email with an enquiry.

Lifepath Consultancy for Horses

I have a vision for animal health that comes form a very different perspective than you may be used to. In essence, instead of continually looking from a disease downwards perspective, why not start looking form a health upwards perspective?

Approach. It will introduce you to the Foundation principles and how to apply these principles within a Framework for an

animal’s life. It helps you with the idea of Focusing on the key ingredients that engender health and how to include more of

these in your animals life. Finally you will be introduced to the art of Fine-tuning your approach to particular situations in your

animals lives. At the end of the day we conclude by considering what it takes to become Fabulous with all these elements.

As a fully qualified conventional vet and a fully qualified homoeopathic vet, I have been working with an integrated

holistic approach since graduating from Bristol University in 1986. While I will always work with a holistic heart, I appreciate

the value of all aspects of veterinary work.

There have been some huge advances in human and veterinary medicine in the last few decades. Whether it is medicine or

surgery, there is much that the conventional world has to offer.

The important bit is to always put the animal in the centre of the choices that are being made around its life and that these

choices are made within an overall vision for the way its Lifepath is unfolding.

By focusing on maintaining the animal in the Green, being prepared with Amber type natural medicines, then there will be

less need to be in the Red. Similarly if Red treatments are needed, then the path back through the Amber into the Green

can be made as smooth and simple as possible.

As well as my clinical work I have a passion for teaching. I helped establish and teach on the well known Homeopathy at Wellie Level course that has trained hundreds of farmers and

many horse owners over the years in the key principles of how to use homoeopathy for animals in their care.

I have also run a variety of other courses for farmers, horse owners and pet owners alike. My on going philosophy is that

the better an owner can be empowered to support their animals, then the happier and healthier the animals will be.
