The Life Cycle of Pumpkin

• There are 6 stages of a pumpkin during its life cycle.

• Stage 1: Seed• Stage 2: Sprout• Stage 3: Vine• Stage 4: Flower• Stage 5: Green Pumpkin• Stage 6: Orange Pumpkin

Seed• 1st Stage of a Pumpkin

• Pumpkin seeds grow inside of a hollowed-out portion of a pumpkin

Sprout• 2nd Stage of a Pumpkin

• After planting the seeds in the late spring, a pair of green leaves will push up from the ground

Vine• 3rd Stage of a Pumpkin

• The sprout grows up and out

• Turning into a vine

Flower• 4th Stage of a Pumpkin• Yellow flowers begin to grow on the

pumpkin plant

Green Pumpkin• 5th Stage of a Pumpkin

Orange Pumpkin• 6th Stage of a Pumpkin
