Message
Sincere con-
gratulations to Jess
Feliciano who was
elected our New
Grand Knight on
Sunday, May 28,
2006. Jess, you are
following in the foot-
steps of an illustrious
group of past Grand Knights who have
given inspired leadership to our council -
Dr. Eusebio Koh our Charter Grand
Knight, Terry Abadiano, Jim Alvarez,
Reuben Mercado and Edgardo Alejan-
dria. I am sure that you will receive the
unqualified support from our Brother
Knights of Santo Nino Council as you
begin your term as our Grand Knight.
Speaking personally, I pledge my com-
plete support to you as you assume the
leadership of our great council.
Your first great endeavour as our
Grand Knight will be to oversee our
Council's contribution to the 7th Annual
Canada Day Mass. Although our Canada
Day Mass is jointly sponsored by the
Father Hugonard 4th Degree Assembly
of the Knights of Columbus and Blessed
Sacrament Parish, our council plays a
huge part in the Canada Day celebrations,
serving the Mass and putting on a beauti-
ful brunch. I'm sure that with your lead-
ership, our Canada Day celebrations will
once again be a huge success.
Jess, may I wish you and our won-
derful council continued success in all
future endeavours.
Fr. Emmett

Message from our Grand Knight
Dear Brother Knights,
Time flies and the Columbian
year is almost gone. Our service pro-
grams had been fulfilled and we recruited
some. Together we made it possible.
The very first activity of the
council was the Canada Day Celebration.
After the mass we served almost seven
hundred guests at our pancake brunch.
Every 4th Sunday of the month we have a mass
before our meeting. We do almost all the liturgical ser-
vices. I remember our beloved Chaplain saying, “Doing all
of this is the best sermon you can give your child.”
I would like to thank our ladies who are always
with us in our activities. Although we had a “Ladies
Night”, it is little compared to how much we appreciate
everything they do for us. I would like to thank our Chap-
lain Fr. Emmett Morrissey for his support and prayers. I
am also thankful for all the people who are always giving
me advice and inspiration. Finally to the officers and
members of Council for all the wonderful things we did
together. I would like to offer extended thanks to all the
various committees.
Having led this council as Grand Knight for a year
was a very rewarding experience. Finally I wish to con-
gratulate the new officers and urge you to support them.

Thank You
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the
Church Staff who have been very supportive of our Coun-
cil and our efforts.
Our fourth Sunday Mass could not be so successful
without the beautiful sound coming from the Blessed Sac-
rament music ministry. Thank you Organist Betty Draper
and Singers Gaetan and Anita Hammond.
Our paper comes out each quarter, thanks to the
printing by Sister Hilda Gelowitz and Marlene Felske.
Throughout the years Council has depended on
three gentlemen on functions at the Church (providing
electric outlets, moving stuffs, etc.). Thank you Gerry
Spooner, James Soehn and Jim Aussant.
Lastly, thank you Fr. Emmett Morrissey for be-
ing our Chaplain, for being there.
My Brother Knights in Christ, The end of another Colum-bian Year is coming, and as well my term as D.D. I first want to thank your council for welcoming me to your meetings and my wife to your functions. It’s been a fantastic two years and the experience I’ll never forget. You have all been so great and you do so much as a council and for your Par-ish. Yes, I can see why Fr. Morrissey is so happy to have you as a council. Fr. Morrissey, I want to thank you for your Blessings and Support you bring to this council. We all know the heavy schedule you all have but you still find time to come to the meetings. May God Bless you. My brother knights, continue working to-gether like you have and you will always be a suc-cessful council. I will miss you all, and thank you for making me feel welcome. Last but not least, I want to thank your beautiful ladies for their lovely smiles and support they also give to this council. You all deserve a bouquet. I ask you please to give the same support to my successor, Bob Rothecker from Good Samaritan. Again I want to thank you all.
Ed Alejandria
Fr. Arnulfo G. Sison was born October
17, 1959 in Sablayan, Mindoro Occidental, the
second of twelve children of Rafael Sison and
Caridad Gabiola. After elementary school in
Samar, he entered the Seminary of St. Vincent
de Paul in Calbayog City in 1972. He trans-
ferred to Sacred Heart Seminary in Palo, Leyte
where he graduated from secondary and college
studies in 1981. He went to Manila to complete
his theology in Maryhill School of Theology in 1984.
He was ordained priest on December 29, 1986 and
served the Diocese of Calbayog for 12 years in various par-
ishes. He served the parish of San Fernando de Dilao in
Paco, Manila from 1998 to 2002. On May 28, 2002 he came
to Canada to serve the Archdiocese of Regina. At present he
is serving the parishes of Holdfast, Dilke and Craik.
Fr. Sison says, “It's been a long and tough journey,
lots of unexpected happenings but I enjoyed and worked for
it. I had my first car, I learned to cook and I enjoyed the
friendship of Filipinos through basketball and singing. I am
proud to be a 4th degree member of the Knights of Colum-
bus Santo Nino Council. That's why I extend my gratitude to
Dr. Seb Koh and James Madrilejos for making this happen
although I could not always be with you. I do pray always
for the success of the council and I've enjoyed much being
with you and singing together.”
Here’s a message from Fr. Sison: My brother
Knights, Greetings in the Lord! I know and always hear
about your active work and involvement in fulfilling your
duties as knights especially in the church's services. I appre-
ciate and envy the fun and togetherness that you always have
which I really miss. How I wish I could always be a part of
your work but distance and parish obligations refrain me
from doing so. Anyway I can still be with you in prayer. So
keep up the good work and more power to you all. God bless.
