Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving weekend! I bet you guys
had a lot of fun eating tons of food and finding all those amazing Black Friday
deals! As Key Clubbers we are thankful for Kiwanis and all of those who help
run not only our EHTHS club but all of the Key Clubs all over the world. It’s
important for us to take time to think about all that others have done for us
whether it be our families, friends, teachers, or neighbors. I hope you took the
time this weekend to think about all that you are grateful for and who you are
grateful for! Personally, I thanked Mr.Stevenson and Ms.Volpe for running our
club so effortlessly! And also thank you to all of you guys for always being will-
ing to volunteer and do your best for the community! Besides Thanksgiving, I
also wanted to let you guys know that there are still a few very big events com-
ing up soon! Those including Volleyballathon and Holiday Circle! Holiday Cir-
cle is having a setup and cleanup along with the event itself, I hope to see you
guys there! See you in two weeks!

PRESIDENT’S LETTER
Hello everyone!,
I hope you all had a wonderful break full of lots of food
and relatives! I know I’m stuffed! Now, although through-
out the year there will be many breaks from school, Key
Club itself never takes a break! There are always projects
available on Mr. Stevenson’s door for all of you to sign up
for! Project sign ups are also available at general meet-
ings. Remember, every general member must have at
least 50 hours by the end of the service year while OCC
require 75 hours. These hours will be easy to accumulate
once our club begins the bigger event projects such as
Volley-ball-a-thon and Holiday Circle. Holiday Circle is ac-
tually very close (December 13th) and volunteers are
needed! The day will consist of playing with little kids and
lots of fun! Food donations and such are greatly welcome
and you will be given hours accordingly. There are signups
right now for setup, cleanup, and the actual event itself, so
sign up soon! If you have any questions, feel free to ask me
or any of the officers! Also, you can contact the Major Em-
phasis & Advocacy Committee that is in charge of Holiday
Circle. Happy almost-Holidays Cubs!
Yours in Caring and Service,
Kenneth Ye
President
-T-Shirts are still on sale, they’re only $10!
-New members are still welcome!
-50 hours are needed for every general member by
the end of the service year

tact Chidera Asiegbu, our club Treasurer
ARE YOU INTERESTED
IN RUNNING FOR LTG?
One of the great things about Key Club is
all of the leadership opportunities it pro-
vides! A very important and greatly covet-
ed position in the Key Club hierarchy is
Lieutenant Governor. The job of the LTG
is to be the messenger of sorts for High
School Key Clubs and Kiwanis. Every
LTG is assigned a district that contains a
couple of High Schools. These schools
become a family of sorts under the care of
their governor. Being the Lieutenant Gov-
ernor of a district requires a lot of organi-
zation and public speaking skills. Running
means that you are ready to take responsi-
bility for a whole district. Although elec-
tions are a little ways away, it is never too
early to begin preparing! Even if you run
and don’t get the position, the experience
itself will allow you to run for another
leadership position when the club’s elec-
tions come up! Winning the election isn't
always going to happen but the experience
you’ll get from it will definitely help you
greatly in the future! If you’re interested in
this position, feel free to contact any of the
officers with questions and also make sure
to speak to Dianna Torres, our current
Division 1B LTG! (pictured to the right)

On November 22nd, EHTHS Key Club took part in the annual
St. Jude’s walk. The St.Jude’s Walk is a walk that raises money
for the St.Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. This organiza-
tion works to find the cure for cancer and other catastrophic
diseases for children. First opening in 1962, St. Jude has helped
change the lives of many individuals for the better. With the
help of volunteers at these walks, they have raised more money
for their research funds. The money is also used for the patients
in the hospital directly. Thanks to everyone that went to the
walk! You can donate at fundraising.stjude.org/
St. Jude’s Walk
Holiday Circle is one of our Key Club’s biggest events of the ser-
vice year! The annual event takes place at Davenport Elementary
School where the children that go there get to come in for a fun-
filled day of snacks, games, arts & crafts, and more! Holiday Cir-
cle is made to recognize and celebrate all of the different holidays
coming up! Santa Claus even makes an appearance at the event to
take pictures with all of the little kids! With some snazzy winter
wonderland music sprinkled on top, it’s a recipe for a great day!
This year’s Holiday Circle is on December 13th. For any questions
or concerns, contact Belle Pingue, Oyeshee Eshrat, or Chloe
Cheung. Hope to see you there!
Holiday Circle
Volley-ball-a-thon Volley-ball-a-thon is actually a while away, but it’s al-
ways best to be informed in advance! The event is night
long and involves various teams competing in games of
volleyball to raise money for the ELIMINATE project.
The project allows not only Key Club members, but all
students and teachers to compete! It’s a great cause and a
super fun night that everyone should definitely try to be a
part of, whether it be as a referee or a player!
