Follow Up Report(to be furnished)

To TICA Board of directors:

Hello my name is Rachel Gouveia, I have TICA registered cattery sweetascandy cattery. I have2 foundry registered Minskin cats and they have had one litter of kittens 2 boys. I registered the litter. Iam a TICA member and will have been a member for one year as of May 1, 2014. I am pretty new to allof this I will admit, but I am hard working and willing to learn. I go to as many shows as I can each seasonwith my cats and have brought Minskins from other breeders for expo only to shows. I was invited to Meetthe Breeds 2013 in NYC and took representations of Minskins from my cattery, Crystal cattery, andFureverfriends cattery. We had a wonderful time and hope to be invited back.

I have found all the judges and members to be wonderful and helpful. I owe a ton to Donna andFrancine from TICANE they are wonderful! I write to you today to request to be appointed as the workinggroup chair for the Minskin breed. I realize I have alot to learn but I am willing to do the work and networkthe Minskin breeders though out the world so we can work together to advance the breed, get more catsregistered and into the show ring. I am willing to be avalible via e-mail and phone and to return inquiresin a timely manner. I will ask questions when I have them and work very hard with anyone interested inthe breed.

While I have nothing but respect for Paul Mcshorley, he created a wonderful loving breed that Icouldn't imagine my life with out, myself and other breeders have found he is hard to reach and does notreturn inquires in a timely or professional manner. As stated in article 33.1 chart 303.1 to advance toAdvanced New Breed we need 100 registered adults, 50 of them must have a code that would qualifyfor CH or produce offspring that can and have at least 25 litters born, we would all like to work towardsthis advancement but it is very hard to do when we can't reach our chair in regards to getting catsregistered.

Please realize I mean no hard feelings to Mr Mcshorley and I am more then willing to keep himin the loop and truly hope he will continue to work with the breed. I fully intend to keep in fully informedand involved. However he has proven he is not able to forfill his position as Working Group Chair for theMinskin breed. I ask you please consider appointing me. I can promise I will work to my full potential. Iwould love to help the breed advance and would see them to Championship status. I am happy to provideyou with professional and personal references and will be at the annual show in Woochester in Augustwith some of the other breeders and no less then 20 minskin cats. Many will be there for expo only butI want you, the board, to see and meet some of our cats. I am working hard to get minskin breeders tocome on out for this show. As breeders we all want to see our breed advance and succeed as I am sureMr Mcshorley and you the board do as well.

I thank you for your time to read this letter. Please if you have any questions to ask me feel freeto contact me any time. Thank you again,Rachel Gouveiasweetascandy cattery26 Floyd aveRiverside RI 02915401-649-9570508-336-3801 (work)[email protected]

Amend Show Rule 29.4.5 (Benching of males) - Crockett

Work Item: Amend Show Rule so that only adult males in Championship are not benchedtogether

Rationale: When this rule was written in 1979, most alters were former breeding cats. Todaymost of our alters never had any idea that they were males, with many having been altered veryearly, before leaving their breeder's home. Ditto with the HHPs.

Any exhibitor may request special benching for a cat that prefers not to be next to anotherneuter.

Amendment: 29.4.5 Adult entire male or neutered cats shall not be benched in adjoiningcages in the judging ring.

Rules Comments:

(NP) Sounds good to me.

(SL) Well done! Agreed

(SA) OK with me. My only issue is that it puts it on the exhibitor to use their best judgment andthey don't always do so.

(MW) We also need to ensure that the Clerking Manual (54. 1.9.3, 54.2.2.3) is updated if thischange passes the membership ballot.

(BT) I am OK with this change

(EC) I've been "shopping" this idea around at shows and have not had one negative commentfrom either HHP or Alter exhibitors, and a lot of them have commented how it makes sense formoving the flow of the show along. Many exhibitors have commented that many of these catsknow one another - some travel and share rooms. Additional comments were that in thebenching area you have no such restrictions even with whole males.

Amend Standing Rule 109.2 (Meetings of the Board)

Work Item:

Amend Standing Rule to give flexibility around meeting dates and to allow for electronicmeetings for the Spring and Winter meetings.

Rationale:

The current rules for Board meeting dates are over prescriptive and are starting to clash withother external events that may require one or more Board members’ presence. In addition, atthe Winter meeting, some Board members were delayed due to weather issues. The possibilityof having an electronic meeting for Winter (and saving travel for Spring meeting) would behelpful.

Please note that the actual dates of the 3 main meetings would continue to be decided by theboard well in advance.

Amendment:

Delete all of the current rule 109.2 (Meetings of the Board):

109.2.1 All Board Meetings shall be scheduled for a minimum of 2 days.

109.2.1.1 Meetings of the Board shall be the fourth full weekend in January (Winter Meeting),the third full weekend in May (Spring Meeting) and the week immediately preceding Labor Dayweekend (TICA Annual).

109.2.1.2 The Winter Meeting shall be held in Harlingen TX without a show OR at a locationoutside the United States in conjunction with a show, approved by the Board.

109.2.1.3 The Spring Meeting shall be held in the United States, rotating from Central to West toEast, with or without a show. The meeting venue must be at or near a major international airportat a hotel with adequate meeting space, full restaurant service and airport shuttle.

109.2.1.4 The Winter and Spring meeting locations shall be selected by the Board withoutconsideration of accompanying show.

Replace with the following:

109.2 Meetings of the Board.

109.2.1 Meetings of the Board shall be held in January (Winter Meeting), in May (SpringMeeting) and the week immediately preceding Labor Day weekend (TICA Annual). All ofthese Board Meetings shall be scheduled for a minimum of 2 days.

109.2.2 The Winter and Spring meetings may be held in person, or electronically at the

7

discretion of the Board.

109.2.3 Any club may apply to the Board to hold a show in conjunction with either theWinter or Spring Meeting.

109.2.3.1 The meeting venue must be at or near a major international airport at a hotelwith adequate meeting space, full restaurant service and airport shuttle.

109.2.4 Additional meetings of the Board may be held in accordance with By Law 19.2.1.

Rules Comments:

(NP) That should work.

(CL) I agree. Winter and Spring meetings needs to be flexible.

(MA) I agree.

(BT) Fine with me

(MW) This is fine.

(EC) I’m fine with this

(SA) Agreed. It is better to have some flexibility (other than with the Annual meeting)

8

Amend Standing Rule 1012.2 (Additional Regions)

Work Item:

Amend Standing Rule to increase the minimum number of members for a new region

Rationale:

TICA has grown significantly since its inception and expanded to many countries around theworld. With its growth has also come an increase in the size of individual Regions. A thresholdof only 75 members is too low upon which to base the creation of a new region and should beadjusted upwards.

Amendment:

1012.2 Additional Regions.

To apply for a full directorship, a region must have had a resident membership of 75 125 ormore members for the past 3 years.

Rules Comments:

(CL) I'm fine with this

(EC) Works for me - and is needed!

(AB) I have no problem with this -- my only question is whether we have any regions today thatwill be disenfranchised of a full directorship with the change. And what are we going to do aboutthose regions -- will we leave them as they are or drop them to a different level.

(EC) As of December 2013 the lowest membership is 166.

(AB) OK great so not a problem we need to address

(MW) I’m fine with this amendment – it makes sense.

(BT) I’m fine with this.

9

Amend Standing Rule 2016.9 (Biting of trainees) - Webb/Jones

Work Item: Add new Standing Rule to clarify what action the judge should take if a trainee isbitten by a cat

Rationale: Trainees are an extension of the training judge - if the cat bites the trainee, it shouldbe disqualified, just as it would be if it bit the judge. Currently, some judges DQ cats that bitetrainees, some do not - this proposal would standardize procedures.

Add new rule:

2016.9 A cat that bites a trainee in the judging ring shall be disqualified.

Rules Comments:

(CL) Agreed

(BT) Works for me

(EC) I think this will cover it. Biting is biting and the trainee is an extension of the judge.

(MW) Looks good to me.

(NP) I have always DQ'd cats that bit trainees. We have to support trainees.

(SA) I agree

MARKETING AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Spring Meeting May 16-18, 2014 Director Marketing & Business Development: Roeann Fulkerson Liaison to Board: Vickie Fisher ______________________________________________________________________________ Brief Summation of Immediate Past Marketing and Business Development Activities:

A great deal of new business has transpired since my last report for the Winter Board meeting. My focus with Vickie Fishers direction and assistance has been concentrated on enriching our corporate partnerships and establishing financial agreements that are beneficial to our organization and its members. Although improving, these are challenging economic times and much of this is reflected in our corporate dealings. We all need to work together as a team to bring projects to fruition. Our partner companies and sponsors do not have to give to TICA. Unless we provide them with a product they feel will enhance their advertising dollars, we will limit our opportunity for growth in this area and lose their revenue source. It is extremely important to consider this measure when making major decisions, when clubs are planning shows, and when our members attend shows where they can promote our partners sponsors and affiliate programs! Also important, when you see a sponsor attending a show, please walk up to them and say thank you! They want to meet you, hear from you and know you appreciate they spend their advertising money with TICA!! Hopefully we can all focus together in promoting TICA at every opportunity. Use TICA’s name when giving interviews, promoting your own shows, doing publicity, preparing flyers, advertising, etc. And when a club has received corporate sponsorship, be sure to promote the sponsors in every way possible. Be creative, use the sponsors logo and names. IT will pay off big time for you, the clubs and TICA.

Sturdi Products: We have brought on another national corporate sponsor with Sturdi Products. I am sure you all know Sturdi Products because they manufacture the show shelters, carriers, etc that we use or

see in all our show halls. Sturdi has purchased an annual national sponsor partnership with TICA that included generous support of the World Cat Congress event/show, sponsorship of the TICA show at the American Family’s Pet Expo, TICA online digital advertising, advertisements in the Year-Book and in the TICA Trend. We welcome Sturdi Products as a new TICA national sponsor partner.

CritterZone is a new Affiliate program with TICA. Go to http://www.critterzoneusa.com and add the CritterZone unit(s) to their

cart (wall or corded unit). Enter our personalized PROMO CODE (TICA) into the box labeled “Apply Promo Code” and the $10 discount will be adjusted before checkout. TICA will receive $15.00 revenue for each unit purchased when our Code TICA is used. So, the buyer receives a $10.00 discount off and TICA receives a $15.00 revenue.

Red Roof Inns All TICA Members & Travelers using our unique TICA members number and/or booking directly through our website linking to our TICA Red Roof reservation page will receive 15% off at Red Roof! And the best part, 5% of every stay comes to TICA as revenue.

The American Family’s Pet Expo is a huge event and TICA will have six rings, three-day show at this expo. This is being held April 25-26-27, 2014, at Orange County Fairgrounds, CA. Dr. Elsey Precious Cat, Sturdi Products and Royal Canin are all sponsoring this event. Hours are Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. We want to thank sponsors for their generous

support. You can view Expo videos of the event from our TICA website home page and by clicking on the logo in the border of all pages on our site, you will link to additional information, a highlight about the TICA cat show and a hyperlink back to our TICA website for additional information about TICA. At the Pet Expo TICA show, PetCo will have several of their key corporate personnel present most of Saturday. PetCo will be interviewing our breeders and filming/photographing the different breeds of cats. These photos will be used to better educate the PetCo personnel and also be used in their Social Media development. We are pleased PetCo selected TICA breeders to use for this promotion with Royal Canin and Dr. Elsey products.

Global Pet, Orlando, FL held this year at the Orlando Convention Center March 12-14, 2014 is the world’s largest annual pet industries trade show and is presented by The American Pet Products Association (APPA) and Pet Industry Distributors Association (PIDA). The 2014 show featured 985 exhibitors, 2,896 booths and more than 3,000 new product launches. Additionally, 5,597 pet product buyers from around the world attended Global Pet Expo is open to independent retailers, distributors, mass-market buyers, and other qualified professionals.

My attendance this year to Global Pet was to discuss with different manufactures the possible opportunities of product lines for TICA branded items. I will be following up with these companies in the next few months so we can get a line of branded products on retail shelves.

Motel 6/G6: Continues to be a strong affiliate partner with TICA and our members booking room stays with Motel 6 brings monthly revenue to TICA. Our members receive a 10% discount and 5% of every stay comes to TICA as revenue.

WCC event was a tremendous success and shared with the entire “cat world”. Please see the inserted letter received from the World Cat Congress thanking TICA and All Cats Cat Club

for the wonderful event hosted this year by TICA in Miami, FL, USA. There was significant participation at the fourteen-ring show from other associations making the entry a truly international event. The entire five days were filled with fun activities, dinners, tourist outings, dancing, and the wonderful TICA show with guest judges from international associations.

TICA Website has continued to grow advertisers and I am sure when you visit our website you

will see new business advertising. Again, it is important to acknowledge our web-mistress Lesley Hart, who does the most pronominal job with timely updates and professional beautiful creative design. We will continue to take on more business advertising. Our website is an excellent source of immediate revenue for TICA. I hope members will use our website regularly and often, put the TICA logo on their own website with hyperlinks back to TICA. This helps increase the sites value and hits.

Current Happenings of Marketing and Business Development:

Club Sponsorship: We have implemented the Club Sponsorship Program. To date, seven Club/Shows have received a total of $22,750. This program has received 100% funding from our corporate sponsors. The program has two primary objectives. The purpose of the program is to assist clubs with promoting, advertising and publicizing TICA and the show and to assist with added exposure, providing introduction and promotion of the sponsors’ products. It is very important to remember the corporate sponsors are spending their Advertising dollars with the expectation of receiving a service from the clubs. That service is exposure for their products. The more effectively and creatively each club provides this exposure for our sponsors this will allow more monies to be brought back to TICA and provide club assistance. In the next month, Bob Johnston and I will provide to Vickie Fisher for distribution to the Board, the full detailed overview of the Club Sponsorship Program. Currently the program was launched with information and data gathered from Executive Office to make initial selections for what clubs received the first quarter’s sponsorships. Some Regions, the sponsors themselves making some specific choices, some contacts directly from clubs, have also provided information.

Make A Wish is our way of directly asking our members what they would like to see happen within TICA. Hopefully you have all seen this phrase inserted into our eNewsLetters. We are tallying a list of suggestions and will be completing a special article that will address each “realistic” suggestion/wish.

Make a Wish What would you like to see happen with TICA if you could have anything at all? TELL US!

What programs would you like to see? What growth areas would you envision receiving more attention or funding? What new programs would you like to see created, fostered and grown? What would you like if you had let us say, three wishes? What are the most important areas for your TICA to be better, bigger, more well known?

Email us and tell us what your wish(s) are at [email protected]

Swerve a Canada magazine in Calgary reached out to TICA for information on their upcoming article regarding cat shows, cat ownership, and spectatorship at cat shows. How social media has effect on cat ownership and how TICA touches the cat fancy worldwide. This should be a very nice promotion of TICA and when the online link is provided we will include into our TICA eNewsLetter so everyone can read what was reported.

13

Cat Fancy magazine will be featuring a breed profile of the Nebelung in an upcoming issue. A freelance writer reached out to TICA for information regarding this breed. Here will be another promotional opportunity for TICA to be highlighted in the media within a popular national magazine.

Embrace Insurance is TICA’s partner and provides a wonderful product Pet Insurance coverage that our breeders and members can use to enhance the value of their kittens/cats going to new homes. The information about coverage can be found on the hyperlink button from every page of our website. Once someone requests a “breeder package” they are mailed all the necessary information to be

given with kittens going to their new homes so they have a Free 60 day insurance coverage for health and accidents. Everyone should be participating in the valuable offer and placing Free 60 day coverage with every kitten or cat, they send off to their new homes. It cost you as a member or breeder nothing, but it does elevate the value of the cats and kittens you are sending out to new families.

Embrace purchases a significant annual digital advertising package from TICA to assist in promoting and sharing this fantastic product with our breeders and members.

Future Projections for Business Development:

TICA is growing and it is my responsibility to the Officers, Board and TICA Members to get the word out that TICA sets the standard of excellence in a friendly environment and promotes the value of all cats, pedigreed and domestic. Action Items:

None What will be Presented at the Next Meeting: In my Winter report I shared my goal was to bring at least three additional new sponsor partners to TICA and look forward to building revenue for online advertising. In keeping that promise we have added Sturdi Products as an annual national sponsor, CritterZone as an Affiliate partner,

14

5

and converted Red Roof Inn to a paying TICA a 5% revenue on all books night stays and is now an Affiliate partner.

We have also picked up two new commercial online advertisers with three additional companies currently in negotiations for nice size packages for digital ads.

By the time I give my next report, I hope to have a key manufacturing company to represent TICA products on commercial shelves.

Respectfully Submitted, Roeann Fulkerson [email protected]

25th March, 2014 Ms Vickie Fisher TICA President Dear Vickie, On behalf of the World Cat Congress Executive and its members I would like to thank you and your wonderful team for the excellence of the 2014 Congress weekend, which you hosted in Miami. It was a memorable time for us all and indeed a great celebration for out twentieth anniversary. Most impressive was the exposure given to the World Cat Congress itself. We are also very grateful for the beautiful cake and the wine, which marked the occasion. Will you please extend our sincere thanks to all concerned, particularly Lorraine Shelton for the well organized Seminar and Steve and Carol Lawson, who looked after us all so ably on the ground. There were many others, too many to name individually, but their input was also much appreciated. We look forward to seeing you, and I believe some of your members also, in New Zealand next year. With kind regards, Penny Penelope Bydlinski WCC Secretary
