Our Challenge
• Why Salesforce?• Global team of Sales and Consulting personnel required a readily accessible
system on multiple devices• Customizable Forecasting
• Pipeline Management (Security)
• Ease of Use
• Timeframe?• Initial implementation was three (3) months for Enterprise Field Sales and
supporting personnel (110 users); onboarding Global Consulting team was a subsequent three (3) month effort
• Why integration was so important?• As we were only moving one group and supporting personnel for the initial
implementation, integration & synchronization with legacy on-premises CRM was critical path
17
Why Informatica Cloud?
• Time was of the essence
• Sales cycle was accomplished with zero demos as we were already using Informatica Cloud prior to the Sales process being initiated
• Requirements for synchronization and replication of data
• Cloud-based ETL required no infrastructure costs/changes, and aligned with our IT direction of on-premise downsizing

18
Results - Topology
• Licensed Standard Edition• Data sync and replication
• Single Informatica Cloud Agent running on MSSQL 2008 R2 “Data Hub” server
• Data Hub syncs and transforms data from legacy on-premise CRM and Oracle 11.5.10 EBS environments, as well as additional enterprise dbs
• Two primary active task flows for synchronization
19
Results• 52 Cloud Data Sync Tasks and Single
Daily PROD Cloud Data Replication
• Account & Contact sync with on-prem CRM every 10 min
• Actuals from Oracle upserted via Data Hub every 30 min for Pipeline + Actuals revenue forecasting
• Closed Won Opportunities in Salesforce.com sent every 10 min to legacy CRM to kickoff Order Management Process
• Employee and Time Off data sync for internal applications moved to Force.com platform from on premise legacy environments
20
Results - ROI
• Initial implementation cycle: two weeks, began pre-Sale completion
• Used one (1) day of consulting time toget us started
• Zero hardware costs, zero training costs
• Extensible with Plug-In architecture, integration with PowerCenter, and PowerExchange for future growth
21
Next Steps
• Move toward direct integration(s) using Plug-Ins
• Move to Informatica Cloud Standard for REST API, Event-based scheduling, and a dev/test sandbox instance
