DICTIONARY PROJECT
During the past few weeks, members of the Rockaway Rotary Club completed our annual distribution of dictionaries to all 3rd grade students in the public and parochial schools in Rockaway Borough and Rockaway Township. A total of
389 dictionaries were distributed to the children of our communities.
GIFT OF LIFE ANNUAL MEETING (excerpt from GOL)
Well, it’s that time again…time to bring all of you up to date on our various activities and plans…time to fill you in all we ‘ve been up to over
the past year and what we’re looking to accomplish in the coming year. As is customary, we are doing this at our Gift of Life Annual Meeting. Our friends and supporters will gather for cocktails, dinner and an informative evening on Monday, October 27th at Ravello Ristorante, 138 Eagle Rock Avenue, East Hanover, New Jersey beginning at 6:30 PM cocktails (cash bar) and 7:30 PM dinner and program. The cost is $35 per person. We are very excited to feature as our guest speaker, Dr. Rodrigo Soto, Pediatric Cardio-Thoracic Surgeon with the International Children’s Heart Foundation. Dr. Soto will share his experiences of saving children’s lives while serving on medical missions run by the International Children’s Heart Foundation, around the world.
