Do we have mechanics? We have a full mechanic service on the event which is provided by Service Corps. The service runs from fully fitted vans and thus most repairs will able to be facilitated. The service is available to deal with bike repairs/ failures and problems. There will also be spare bikes and wheels. All groups have a vehicle with mechanical support with them for every stage. There is also mechanical support in the evenings for emergencies.

...and what happens if i puncture?Let’s hope that you do not puncture! Please try and ensure that you are using new tyres and tubes as this greatly reduces the chance of puncture. Although you have a mechanic with you for the duration of the ride, you should ensure you have the ‘basics’ with you (spare tubes, a pump and/or gas canisters and tyre levers/multi-tool). Our mechanics will have a supply of CO2 canisters available to purchase pre ride as we know flying with these is not always allowed. We strongly recommend your bike is fully serviced before the event.

You can keep items that you may wish to access during the day in this bag, and it will be kept in the support van. It might be useful to keep a dry top etc. in the musette.

What are the average speeds? There will be a minimum of three Groups, as follows:Group 1: 21-23 kphGroup 2: 17-19 kphGroup 3: 14-16 kphThe Time Trial will determine what Group you will ride in.

What about lunch and nutrition on route? For each Stage lunch is provided with endurance related food. The support vehicles will also be well stocked with bananas and cereal bars. We recommend that you carry enough nutrition to get you to lunch and place what you need for the afternoon in your musette.

Will there be water stations?Throughout the event there will be various water stops.

MassagesWe have sports therapists joining us provided by our partners Roadside Therapy. They will be available at the start, lunch and event hotel in the afternoon post ride. Treatments are on a first come first served basis.
